Oblivion was fun... But i felt the taunts by the NPCs to be rather... Unremarkable. Taunts that should be included in Skyrim?

......"Sorry Dovahkiin, did not realize that brothels sold armor now!!!!"

EDIT: Fought? Too bad i forgot my flame begone :/

Not wanting to turn this into another Oblivion V. Morrowind flame pile, but Morrowind definitely had the best Taunt.

"When I kill you, I'll [censored] your corpse, don't worry, I'll be gentle."

That's a tough act for Skyrim to follow.

Btw, is this the part where I fall down and bleed to death?

I just hope the taunts are a little more Dynamic. Like they'll only taunt you if you have less than 25%HP left. It was kind of sad in both games, for them to be at 1%, chanting of their impending victory.

any one else think that "i've fought mud crabs tougher than you" taunt has any thing to do with people who have failed combat in MW complaining they got killed by a mudcrab?

The phrase was "I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than you." ;)

I didn't mind the Oblivion taunts, save for "This is the part where you fall down and bleed to death" which I still think is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

"Stoopid!" in Morrowind was very silly as well, and I hear it constantly.

As far as Skyrim goes, I can't even begin to imagine what taunts there will be.

Insult: I'm not going to take your insolence sitting down!
Response: Your hemorrhoids are flaring up again, eh?

Oops sorry, wrong game.... :whistling:

Lol my favorite was "You move like a pregnant cow!" A. because it was actually kinda rare to hear but also B. who the hell is thinking of pregnant cows in the middle of a life and death battle? That guy, that's who. O.o

That was almost certainly (like my previous post) inspired by Monkey Island.

Insult: You fight like a dairy farmer
Response: That's appropriate, you fight like a cow

The taunts in Oblivion were okay, I just found it kind of weird that everyone from different races used the same ones... I think each race should have their own taunts, so we don't hear the same ones over and over

Just some good taunts. Or, maybe they dont even shout taunts if you are evently matched or obvsiously stronger. e.g. a granny in simple townsclothes V. you clad fully in armor. She shouldn't taunt you.

It's sort of like how in Splinter Cell: Conviction, you kill like everyone effortlessly and your this complete badarse, but then the guards shout really stupid things at you...

I do hope the taunts are better then Oblivion.

I've fought Mudcrabs more fearsome then you

Jump on my sword while you can

You move like a pregant cow

This is the part where you fall down and bleed to death

Why won't you die

Oh look is the baby going to cry

now from my experience, every time I have heard the jump on my sword taunt, they were not using swords, I always found that amusing.

Me too, I love those old Lucasarts adventure games. I got the Monkey Island ones cheap from Steam recently but I haven't got around to replaying them yet.
