I have an opposing position, i hated that somehow, my player being level 6 made super mutants weak as humans, and being level 25 made humans strong as super mutants.

There should be an upper and lower limit as to what levels a creature can scale; a radroach should never gain the HP of a Behemoth, and likewise a Behemoth should always be a threat (And it would be if it wasn't too big to move in the ruins). That is hopefully something Bethesda includes in Skyrim's level scaling. They did IIRC say that dungeons have upper and lower level scale limits (Dragon Age used this system too), so hopefully they include that for wilderness creatures also.

no fallout 3 is what made it famous fallout 1 and 2 were long forgotten by then to big a gap in between games to associate the rise in popularity
So why was it worth $7 million?

NO i really do think you have that backwards. Super mutants were far from easy when you are a lvl 6.

Not in Fallout 3, at level 6 they have hunting rifles and nail boards, and low health. somehow their guns evolve into assault rifles and miniguns when you level up???

Super mutants werent hard at lvl 6 and they werent easy. Plus also you couldnt of had great guns to take them down at that lvl. especially if you went head first into Vault 87.

I had an assault rifle at level 6, from the super duper mart, the muties at the mall had hunting rifles and nailboards, i mowed them down, which is stupid because Super Mutants are supposed to be stronger than humans, but TC Mercs put up a better fight.

Yah but im talking about vault 87. Further more you couldnt have had that much ammo in the first place.

didnt need much. and Vault 87 is the same thing, it is just harder to reach at a low level, because you will likely level up before you get there.

The game must vary between players because I met a SM very early on, level 3 or so, outside Big Town who attacked me with a missile launcher.

I tend to wander around a lot, "blunder" about might be a better way of putting it and maybe encounter higher level enemies earlier than if I was following a more story driven or logical path.

There are certain mutants with fixed equipment, at the outdoor movie theather near Big Town there is always SM with a Minigun. Also at one of the buildings of Roosevelt Academy there is always an Overlord regardless of your level.

But unmodified Fallout 3 was ridiculously easy. Even more so than New Vegas.

You know whats a pain in the ass? trying to fight a super mutant in FNV while your a Lvl 4 or 3 and he has a Light machingun. It happend when i was going to nipton. I took a different route and i was like theres always a super mutant over here at rabbit springs and i was like i want to kill him :). I got over there and every shot that hit me took down my health bar down like a qaurter and so i ran over to nipton(while this thing was following me!) i though to myself"The legion people over here should easily take him out:). This WAS NOT THE CASE. He owned all of them and once he killed the last one Vulpes Inca walked up to me and talked to me like he wasnt even there and im Like WTF! kill this damn thing. But then i got [censored] by the super mutant. Then i went back to my last save and went up there again and then there WAS 2!. so i just ran like hell(thankfully they didnt follow me).

Yup, Super Mutants in NV arent level scaled and dont have fixed equipment, they are high level and have high-level equipment.

Yeah, they are tougher but not as good equipped as they were in the originals, i can only imagine that the wasteland has hardened them, in the originals they are only a good bit tougher than humans, still capable of being chewed up by a minigun, in this game, well, Obsidian kinda borked up the DT/DR system, kinda confuses me, it works better than FO3's DR only but, the orignals did it better than both with DT and DR, as well with resistance for individual types of damage, and AC.

I dont know about that. They shouldnt be like unable to kill with like 1000 rounds of ammo.

Yeah but level scaling is a strange handleing of RPG mechanics, I say we bring back the original system of individual resistance of certain damage types, AC (Armor Class, makes you less likely to get hit/take damage), and DT.

Level scalings better than having all enemys pre set with how tough they are.

That actually depends on what kind of "1000 rounds of ammo" you are using. 10mm should just piss 'em off, not annihilate them in less than 4 seconds. :sadvaultboy:
