iZ3D

Anyone here use this?, any good?.

f your graphics card can deliver in 2D, it can probably deliver in 3D.

As far as performance goes, an easy way to test the performance loss is to install the iZ3D Driver, and play in Anaglyph mode. The loss should be similar to the loss with 3D Devices.

Please note, that while CrossfireX and SLI may output two streams, in most cases the game will only make use of One core in 3D mode.

For ATI Graphics Cards, we recommend a minimum of an ATI Radeon 4870.

For nVidia Graphics Cards, we recommend a minimum of an nVidia Geforce 8800.

I see that you decided to take it to a whole new topic... Yes I have heard that it works fine. I haven't tested it yet but I'm going to as soon as I get my anaglyph glasses.

anaglyph glasses.
Yeah i'm gonna try and find some. Shame though that 3D only uses one GPU chip, so if you have CrossfireX (dual seperate cards) or Dual graphics cards like Radeon 4870X2 or 5970 it will only make use of one GPU chip. I should imagine the performance loss is very telling in most modern games.

Anaglyph glasses being any regular red and blue glasses?
Q. How long can I play with anaglyph?
A. It depends. Anaglyph has been known to give people headaches in the past. We don't recommend playing it for more than 30 min. to an hour. But...the iZ3D 22" 3D Monitor does not cause headaches!

Q. I have the superbowl glasses that I got back in February. Can I use them?
A. Absolutely! The superbowl glasses are commonly referred to as "Colorcode" Anaglyph glasses. In the iZ3D driver, set the output to "Yellow/Blue".

This are the Red / Blue glasses correct?
Nvidia also has drivers for that. Personally I don't like it. The colors are very bad.

I used IZ3D for Stereoscopic 3D for my Zalman Trimon m220w, because ATI don't have any drivers for it. And my gaming laptop has an Nvidia, and used the orginal drivers!

I don't like the Red Bleu 3d (Anaglyph) also! I use 3D with the orginal collors, and never had headache.

And IZ3D is not an freeware driver, the orginal driver from Nvidia is free!
