Jack Sparrow build? Help?

Post » Tue Aug 12, 2014 5:50 am

Ok, so I wanna do a character based on Jack Sparrow, but I'm not sure how to do it. I was thinking Redguard (with the lightest skin), because for some reason I think Redguards would be better pirates, and because they have a dreadlock hair option.

I'll be keeping some alcoholic beverages on him at all times, will make it his lifes mission to find his ship (maybe I'll get a mod for that), and he'll do anything for money (or women).

I want to get perks in Speech and Sneak, use a one handed sword and keep the other hand empty, but other than that... I have no ideas.

What do you guys think?

Edit: also, Jack is not a very lorefriendly name, I guess. Any suggestions on that?

You should probably try to get the treasure maps and go hunting for the treasures. Also break out of prisons quite a few times and I seem to recall a stranded ship somewhere on the northern coast, where you could hide out. Apart from that you should wander around the docks of Solitude, Dawnstar and Windhelm.

As quirks I would try to give him the same weird behaviour, such as talking to skulls and skeletons in tombs or caverns.

It all depends on how much of a roleplay you want to create, savvy.

And I think there should be a captain somewhere in the title.

You've for a good build so far. Maybe just call him Jacka or something, I've seen a few Redguards with that name.

Aye, I totally agree.

As for the name, if they could incorporate Springheel Jack, and sparrow is an animal, why not Jack Sparrow? Iirc Oblivion version of Springheeled Jack was called Jakben, but he was a Breton. Also, in the past games, taken from UESP, Redguards had names like Jon, Jim, Dudley, Garry, Curtis, Neville, Wallace, so I don't see why Jack would be a stretch. Alternatively you could go with Jankin or Jackin or something like that. You could always give him a "normal" Redguard name and say that Jack Sparrow is a given nickname by his crew.

Nope, you didn't. :P

I think the closest I'll get to a jar of dirt will be a butterfly in a jar, but I'll definitely carry one of those. And a skull, which will be his mother's.

Ha, I just watched the first movie again yesterday. The character needs to spend some time in the water so use the water-breathing spell. No armor, speech, a little bit of sneak. Find a fitting companion too. If the battle is too tough, you should run away.

OP- If you are on PC then Immersive Armors has some nice pirate themed gear ... and Immersive Weapons or Jaysus Swords adds some great cutlasses and shortswords suitable for a pirate.

For a moment there, I thought you wanted to play Jack Sparrow in Skyrim, lol.

But I guess you just want a character that looks like him.

And fortunately there really are pirates in TES.

Redguard does make sense since they're the most famous for sailing and pirates.

I downloaded the Seadog Pirate armor :D (for some reason Immersive Armors causes problems with circlets)

I do want to play Jack Sparrow in Skyrim :) well, a character with his looks and characteristics.

Also, who would be a fitting companion? I thought Kharjo would be cool, because Khajiit are basically treated like pirates in cities. But Jack would probably prefer the company of a good-looking woman, although I'm not sure if he'd like it if she can fight as good as he can.

Yep, that's the one. What issues are you having/did you have with circlets?
