Jacobstown doctor henry and everyone dissapeared?

Post » Thu Feb 11, 2010 6:20 am

I was heading over with E-ED & Boone to jacobstown & i went inside the mansion where doctor Henry is and i was doing the quest for Rex & The King and realized that i couldn't do the quest with E-ED around. i didn't dispose of E-ED but anyhow i picked up another quest from the doctor and i thought how awesome would it be for old times sake to kill some super mutants for fun. so i saved the game ahead of the killing spree and killed all of them inside and some outside, i got bored and reloaded the previous save an everyone in the mansion disappeared and all the missions regarding to everyone in the mansion failed on the spot. i have no idea what happened! there are a lot of glitches in new Vegas, a lot but this one so far tops the rest. i did see that everyone that was outside at the time is still there but i have no idea what happened. so i couldn't do anything else so i guess no XP nor Rex because of this.

That is some messed up crap. Seems like reloading in this game is super screwy. From what I have heard this game likes to discourage people from saving, doing something cool, and then reloading afterward.

yea man i was discouraged alot about it, in fallout 3 there were not nearly as many glitches as there are in new vegas i think. nothing to drastic like what happened to jacobstown :banghead:

Oh no, Fallout3 didn't have anywhere near as many bugs and glitches as New Vegas (the occasional bug and the occasional freeze). New Vegas is like it [censored]d itself out to these problems.

is it just me or when you find Helios 1 with the NCR guarding the place that no matter what side you were on( besides Legions) there were some dogs in the back of helios 1 in some cage and they were coming up enemy no matter what and my companions would attack them and i would get attacked by NCR when i want to be on the good side haha, i dont know if its ment to be like that but its just weird if they made it like that if it was on propose.

The dogs are supposed to be hostile and I never got attacked when I killed the dogs. Maybe it's just something that happens if your companions attack them first.

maybe i got one of the defective games lol, i just came upon something else, i chose the perk where you can see all the locations so i decided not to use it after all, so i reloaded a prev save and i already have the perk already. then after i leveled again and then it skipped the whole perk process, so now I'm stuck with the explorer perk, fancy that. Just know i realized something when i sell things to the traveling merchants with the brahmin, if i w8 enough time and come across them again all there inventory is gone and everything i have ever sold to them is in there place, now it makes it harder for me to find ammo :swear:

Yep, all them glitches and bugs are more plentiful than a fat chick hoarding burgers and fries in the seat cushions.
