Post » Sun Jun 06, 2010 7:48 am

yep i said it, too bad i haven't heard anything about bioware making a sequel for the first masterpiece. Does anyone here wish bioware would put time into this rpg. I know its not better than tes but it is fun.

I hope Bioware makes another sequel. And that they have Laidlaw be its lead designer, and Goldman be in charge of the art direction. Not because I like Jade Empire, I've never played it and really have no interest in it...but so that the two aforementioned individuals can stop [censored] up Dragon Age. :flame:

I do wonder, we've had Dragon Age 2 now, and Mass Effect 3 is coming up... What's next for Bioware? I can't imagine they'll be working on even more Dragon Age and Mass Effect games in the future and nothing else.

So maybe Jade Empire 2, or a new franchise...

I consider the first Jade Empire to be the best Bioware ever made, despite the flaws in the later chapters, so I wouldn't say no to a sequel.

Yeah, same here, so I added a subtitle :P

I loved Jade Empire, but as Bioware (or EA) seems to screw up every franchise lately* I rather have them start a new one.

* (The sequels are not all too bad, but the originals are IMO better).

Eh, I really don't think they're going to be abandoning either of these two series for a long while. Mass Effect is their flagship franchise, the one they're most famous for, and that's going to see endless sequels and spinoffs for years to come. And Dragon Age? They just can't stop dangling some half-assed sequel hook at the end of each iteration.

Dragon Age III. You can only be a male human who is fully voiced and choose from 3 classes. Also you will only need to ever hit one button during combat. "Unlocked a new ability? Well guess what? No more cluttering up your screen or confusing you with which button to push. All you need to do is push the attack button over and over again and the game automatically uses the ability you have that isn't on cool down."

Also, we know you got tired of having the blood disappear off your character so now they are always covered in blood! :P

Amen. Jade Empire might actually be more these guys speed, seeing as how the like to make action games and what not.

Jade Empire was good, but it's one of the few Bioware games that I didn't care enough about to play through it for a second time. I'd rather have them put some guys on KotOR III.

Sure, if they didn't half-ass the hell out of it, again. Jade Empire was one of the most unfinished-feeling games I ever played, more than KotOR 2.

I'd rather have them put some guys on KotOR III.

I got the impression that virtually everything Bioware has made since then has been trying to be KotOR 3.

I thought everything they made was trying to be KotOR. As for KotOR 3, they're currently making that mumorpuger SWTOR so I have absolutely no idea what they're going to do with the franchise after that.

Yes I want Jade Empire 2 but sadly, it probably won't happen...

...EA says HAI.

Hopefully I'm wrong :(

I would like to see any Bioware game with the style of some of their older games. Dragon Age II left a bad taste in my mouth.

It was a pretty weak game, but I liked the setting. Not enough RPGs set in historical time periods these days (although, I think JE was mainly fantasy, too =/).

So yeah, it would be cool, but would not buy if Bioware made it.

I just reinstalled the first one last week and played for about 2 hours... Man, I loved that game. If they made a second I would have an uber pantsgasm.

Jade Empire was an amazing game, I'd love to see a sequel, one that they finished of course.

Oh, and I got really excited about this thread cause my phone doesn't show subtitles. :(

Yes I would. JE was not without its flaws (the main issue being its rather short length), but I'd definitely buy a sequel.

When I get another pc, I plan to get that version. I understand they added some things that the xbox version didn't have. A sequel would be awesome, but I doubt it will ever happen.
