The problem seems to stem from this mod that Verm1n mentioned. It's likely because of an improperly filtered dialogue entry that's causing Jasmine's greetings to not show. I run a number of dialogue intensvie mods (the LGNPC series) and have yet to have an issue. I would contact the author of that particular mod to see if there's an update available and if not, if they will tell you how to fix the issue. I did ask Cyrano fo the LGNPC team to check on this thread - he might have other advice, but changing the footpad mod is the only way I know of how to remove this error.

As for posting pictures, it's best to just post the link. If you want to label it, click on the "Insert link" button at the top of the post window; it'll first ask for the url, then for the text you want to display. Examples are in the first post of this thread where I link to the download sites.

[edit]: I've contacted Fliggerty about this. Hopefully he can shed some light on this.

:D That's great! Thanks for checking on that and also the check with Fliggerty. I will be testing this shortly to see if that clears up the dialogue issue. I'll let you know if that did the trick..

I talked to Fliggerty and he said that his mod only adds in a new topic - it shouldn't affect the greetings of any NPCs. If you're still having problems, I'll give you some console commands that should advance that part of her story. After I'm feeling better, I'll see if I can track down the error and maybe release a compatability patch.

Taking out Vvardenfell Footpad fixed the issue. All is well....

I'm going to look into this sometime later to see if I can figure out what the issue is. Fliggerty doesn't know and I don't know off-hand, but hopefully I can find out why it's doing that. I'll post a patch should track down the problem.

It may have something to do with the feature that makes NPC's ForceGreet you when you are sneaking. Try turning it off, and see if things work. If it does, we know where to look to create compatibility.

Turn it off by entering this in the console:
set fp_sn_greet to 0

Cyrano was kind enough to test Jasmine and Fliggerty's mod together, but could find no conflicts between the two, so the conflict likely stemmed form another mod. Seeing as how Raedwald hasn't responded to Fliggerty's suggestion, the conflict will likely never be found. Anyway, time for an update:

I've been adding dialog for the Imperial Legion quests to Jasmine in the same manner I handled the MQ, though how you handle some of the quests will either raise or lower her opinion of you. After I finish with the Legion, I'll tackle the Cult and then release an update after I finish testing the Lorit quest. Progress is slow, but seeing as how no major bugs have been reported, I've been taking my time to make sure the next update is as polished as I can make it.

I have a question: I have a couple of new poems I've been thinking about adding and Black Hand has agreed to write me new stories. If nobody is reading the included books, then I really don't see any reason to include any new ones. I will, howver, be adding the book rotate scripts to the new books so that they're easier to place on bookshelves. I'll be copying the BR scripts and renaming so the esm file will not be needed, nor will the mod conflict with that one. I should have an update ready some time later this year.

Yeah, I know I haven't posted any in a while, but I've been lazy and have been avoiding doing much modding here lately. :meh: Anyway, I'm almost finished with the Legion dialog, I just have the head Knight's quests to do then that'll be done. After that, I'll be adding some more dialog to Astrid and her father, Heidmir in the Skyrim mission. His dialog will be included in LGNPC_Ebonheart, so it may be awhile before I release an update becasue I'll be writing two versions of some of his dialog: one for this mod only and another to be included in the LGNPC mod and likely in this mod - the later will only be seen in the LGNPC mod if Jasmine ins't loaded, this is to prevent story conflicts between the two since I changed Heidmir's background and gave him a daughter.

I fixed a few small issues I've come across, nothing drastic, but the mod is a bit more polished now. ;) I've also added the option to have Jasmine level without having to rest. Note that she will never increase in level beyond you, so if you haven't leveled up recently, she won't gain power or skills, but her health will be reset back to full. I did this for those who use GCD and don't want to have to level after resting and for a quick reset of her skills after you've asked her to change what she foxues on (Grumpy's versus the scouting skills). You'll find the new option under her skill topic - just ask her to perform her excercises for her to level.

Update:

I finished the Imperial Legion dialog and sent it off to my editor. I think I won't be touching any of the other guilds for awhile because trying to keep all of the journal entries straight is a pain. I need to write some more dialog for a few other NPCs, then test a quest. After that, 2.1 should be ready to go. Hopefully I'll have it ready by the end of the month so I can take a break. B)

Well, I finally got around to beta testing the next version and I'm glad I did. Thanks to the compile results option in the dialog window, I've found a number of things that needed to be fixed. Hopefully I can get 2.1 out by the end of the week, but with OT, that may not be possible.

It's being a while since the last reaction and i'm curious about the new version :P

Since i haven't give some feedback after my questions (and you asked for it, my bad) here is some:

i like the companion. There are no problems with the other mods i use. Also get along with the other companions i use (now there are three at this moment)
Seems like jasmine can handle a sword as well as a bow and is quite talkative. Good enough for me. Also like the face, hair, etc. No need to change that in my opinion.

I have a love/hate relationship with 2.1: I love most of what's in there, but the new quest is...well, being difficult. I had to finally sit down and outline it so I could keep track of what journal entries corresponded to what player actions. Now it's just a matter of transfering the outline into dialog and journal entries. :yuck:

[edit]: I think I have the quest sorted out. If it works as planned, I should have the update out soon - hopefully by the end of next week.

Update log:

2.1
Fixed an issue with Jasmine's follow speed - she should now stick closer to you while traveling.
Added dialog for the various Imperial Legion quests. Jasmine's disposition will raise or lower based on how you complete some of the quests. Hint: she doesn't like it when you bully widows.
Added a scimitar to Deandre and an additional quest to him. After finishing it, you'll recieve his scimitar (same stats as an Ebony scimitar, but it's not enchantable due to the textures used on it).
Added a dialog option to have Jasmine level if she's able without your having to sleep. She will only level her skills to your level. Also, her health will reset to its max. I inlcuded this option for mages who use the Atronach birthsign and the GCD mod - basically anybody that doesn't rest often or to level.
Jasmine's disposition will now increase after you do each of Deandre's quests.
Fixed various typos and other small bugs and included new dialog to various NPCs to flesh out thier character.
Added a new quest. Talk to Deandre after you have retrieved the fourth Tall Papa book. Also added a new NPC and Dwemer tower ruin.
Added new mesh for the adamantium tower shield Waylas wields.
Add new hair colors by Gagatek.
Added the Book Rotate scripts to Jasmine's and Deandre's books.

BTW, I know about the missing global error. You can click past it - it shouldn't cause any issues with the mod itself. I'll be fixing that in the next update.

I noticed in a previous thread that Jasmine was supposed to appear in front of her house if you spoke to a certain friend of hers. Yet running the mod, I find that friend says Jasmine's gone missing, and there's no one near the house. Is something wrong with my installation, or am I supposed to look around for her elsewhere? I'm willing to do so, I'm just not sure if that's going to yield anything.

I take a lot of pride in my work and if something doesn't work, then I want to fix it ASAP. Unfortunantly, things fall through the cracks because I'm a one-man team and tend to overlook stuff. I am grateful for the community's feedback, though, because the mod would likely be a buggy mess without it. :)

If she's supposed to show up after being contacted, that hasn't happened. I get no response from trying to contact her, and she doesn't she up in front of her house after using the ring. I've tried using it first indoors, and then in front of the house. No luck either way. I can't imagine it's my mod list; and I'm using Wrye, without any suspect crashes. No idea, really.

EDIT: This is at the very start, when I'm told to speak to Elone about her. Elone says she's missing. Perhaps we're talking about different times in the mod. At the start, after speaking to Elone, should she be in front of her house? If not, should I be speaking to someone else, or looking elsewhere?

:facepalm: <-not directed at you. If you're at the very start, you'll find Jasmine in the cave just north of Seyda Neen with the rest of the slaves. Don't use the ring because it won't work unless Jasmine is already following you.
