[Req] Java Incorperation

Unfortunately, I do not have the coding knowledge to tackle such an endeavor, but I'm sure there's someone playing/modding Morrowind who does...

What I'm requesting here, is http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1293440-relz-dll-dynamic-leveled-lists-thread-7/ and http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1366265-relwip-automatic-variants-thread-4/ (in which case we'll need a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes5Mod:SkyProc) for Morrowind!

So, any thoughts?

Heya BadCompany,

Sounds like a really cool idea, for sure. 8) I'm far too busy to start any morrowind project myself, though. Ive got SkyProc, AV, DLL, plus a DnD desktop client idea in the back of my head, not to mention the job search now that I'm graduating. XD But the SkyProc systems are -very very- flexible and could easily be adapted to handle Morrowind records. It would just take some gruntwork of basically telling each record type "what it contained". The rest of the system would handle the rest of the import/export work. If you could find someone somewhat familiar with coding, I could pretty easily step them through the systems. I'm up for teaching someone, I just cant sit down and handle the project myself. 8)

Let me know if you know anyone, or would even like to learn yourself. 8)

This is a good idea but if I had any free time I'd be putting it into one of the engine remakes. You can only tack components on for so long until you end up with software not too dissimilar to Howl's Moving Castle - functional but ready to fall apart in a strong wind and impossible to maintain or change.

Yea, I would have to agree here. I think MW is about at the end of what gets tacked on. The future is the engine rewrites and OpenMW is already pretty well along.
