JEDAPRINS WORLD MOD FOR OBLIVION {SNEEK PEEK} + VIDEO

Speaking of textures,.. Amp, where are the rest of your textures? Makes me sad that I no longer have them and can only find the caves, which I use and love but want some moar!

On topic... Well this is definitely not my flavor and I had to stop watching very near the beginning before I had a flashback to my college days... Oh what days those were.

I'll give you credit for the effort and admire that you post something so abstract, but I have to honestly say it's absolutely awful. I could never use this in game unless it was a very small dose exclusive to a specific dungeon for a quest or something along those lines.

Are you saying that texture people don't do that much work because it's just replacing files? :stare: :P

Heh, not in the slightest - I know it's incredibly hard and time consuming to make a good texture, but I also know it's really easy to make a bad one. Your textures are good ones - they are carefully made to fit well into the environment and to give a certain style, and I can tell you've put a lot of time and effort into them. I'd certainly have no problem in giving you high praise for your work.

I'm saying I don't think his textures have quite the same level of work in them, and I'm not understanding all the 'that looks like heaps of work' comments, because it just looks to me like he made a bunch square textures of skulls in red, black and grey and then tiled them all over the game world. I do realise that there are other textures for the clutter, but forgive me for glossing over them, as they're not what took my attention. Now, I don't know if he made those textures totally from scratch or not, if he did, then that's good drawing skills and is commendable but otherwise if they're more edited pictures of skulls and whatnot then I'm less impressed.

Again, speaking as one in the dark on texturing, feel free to educate me. I hope that clears things up. :)

:lmao: Wrinkly, if nothing else he gets props for taking the extensive amount of time and dedication to reassign all those bloody texture paths on his own. THAT is work. LOL I've done it once for a single tile set and it was a tedious, time consuming pain in the...Bass. :P You wouldn't catch me doing it for all the tile sets. Not enough coffee in the world to make me. XD

Is it hideous? Hell yes. :lmao: Did it take five minutes to do? Hell no.

I doubt he reassigned the texturepaths, I think he just made a texture replacer. Something like Qarl's, but ehm.... different....

It really looks like he took some pictures he liked and just converted them to a DDS file and renamed them after one of the vanilla textures. But we all gotta start somewhere I guess.

I only watched about half of the garish video (my eyes were bleeding by then, yes)...but I did glimpse some textures I thought were interesting...

(I'd guess I currently spend anywhere from 3 hours to 40 hours creating a single texture for one of my creations...probably around 20 hours on average.)

Omg the work invovled in this must have been oh Shizzanay  :ahhh:

My thoughts are more or less similar to others previous but I do think you should make a world space / Oblivion realm, more specifically the one called ColdHarbor, which in essense is Tamriel, but in a darker theme underule by a particular Daedra Prince who's name I cannot recall.

That, a few race replacers etc etc should get you well on the road to something epic.

otherwise good job so far.
