Not a new world, same world - different textures.

The only words that come to mind is 'fancy' and 'music video'.

Well the title totally fooled me...(was expecting a whole new world)

A lot of the textures look odd but others looked pretty sweet. :mohawk:

Judging from the caps title and two comments above reminded me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_roll. :whistling:

To be perfectly honest I think it looks plain awful.

And you should really call it a world texture replacer, to avoid confusion.

This looks awful. As the others have said, it's a world texture replacer, calling it a world mod makes it sound like a Total Conversion.

In a way, I like the replacer. I, for one would never play with it cause I don't play a mod that breaks immersion but I could really see a stoner getting into these textures.... Irregardless, good work Jeda.

It's certainly a unique palette, and applied with an unrestrained enthusiasm, but yes...it is...just awful.

But I'll give the kid this. He's got the courage it takes to put his stuff out there with the competition...to stand or fall.

And that's something I can admire.

Certainly a clever, if highly involved, way to advertise for your albums.

I like some of the colors you've used here - the reds and greens in particular - and I like a few of the texture designs as well. You seem to be shooting for a slightly gothic, Tim Burton-esque feel which I actually find kind of interesting. But the textures as a whole don't seem to cohere well. I would say these textures are at an 'Alpha' stage at this point. But I actually think this shows some promise and I think, if you were to finish it, there would be a small 'niche market' for a texture replacer like this.

I don't know why there are so many negative comments. Some of the stuff in there is pretty cool.

Hahaha, looks like Sheogorath took over cyrodill. The textures are pretty nice, and some of the cities looks cool, though its not something that someone would use on their main savegame (because it ruins immersion). Those textures would look wicked on a necromantic castle/dungeon, haunted house mod or something.

I add my comments to the others...some of the textures are quite interesting and with polishing (and applied a bit more sparingly and/or used to build some unique locations) the same could become a great addition to modded Oblivion.

A tremendous amount of work for what I understand to be a first mod effort. :foodndrink:

Hem

wow... while i wouldn't use this as a regular texture package, i think it could be used in a "dark world" version of oblivion. like in the old zelda game "a link to the past." a reverse world where creatures live in the towns and all the humanoid races roam the wild, maybe?

Some of the interior textures were pretty neat, it was just the replacing all wall tiles with a red skull that threw me off

Admire the work that must've gone into this though

Regarding 'all the work' comments: isn't this just a case of replacing the texture files of each texture with different textures, rather than doing some incredibly time consuming exercise changing the textures attached to each object? Also, while the quality of the textures looks quite good and so very commendable, they're just tiled square textures AFAICT. Is this texture ignorant person missing something?

This mod was more of an experiment and turned out pretty good Although i do have more files to edit i will be realeasing this soon and working on the second one right after

Are you saying that texture people don't do that much work because it's just replacing files? :stare: :P
