Jeff Baker voiced Dunmer males in Morrowind and Haskill in Shivering Isles. Should he return to do the voices for Dunmer males with he's rough voice?

It might actually get annoying in a game with full voice acting. Maybe.

I want a companion just like haskill, that would be hilarious and fun, imagine him standing over a corpse "He was alive, now he is not. Amazing. Truly." He would make a great vampire...

It would be great to see him back as some of the Dunmer.
I didn't like the OB Dunmer, they sounded wimpy.

He should be back, but not as every Dunmer. The one voice per race thing is hopefully gone.

I was thinking the same thing. I love the dark, gritty voices of the dark elves, and it would suit the darker atmosphere of Skyrim very well I think, but I don't know if he could deliver high quality acting for all of the dunmer.
I want someone who can act, and it would be wonderful if that someone could do it that voice. In any case, not the Oblivion voices.

Yes!

There's already a http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1157192-so-do-we-want-the-morrowind-dunmer-voice-back/ thread; this one might not be redundant, though, as that one lacks a poll.

 ...Very, very much. Male Dunmers need more rasp.

It's funny, I never would have guessed that the same guy did Haskill and Morrowind's Dunmers. If he was here, why not use him again for male Dunmers ? Conflicting schedules at the time, maybe... Still, having one guy for all male elves was mighty annoying. Funny too, cause it wasn't noticeable for female elves.

Uh, yes, I would love for him to be back as Dunmer but he fan somehow make them all sound different, look at Morrowind Dunmer compared to Haskill, truely different sound. He fan vary it up, make a plethora of accents ya know?

Well from what Bethesda said, it seems that it's pretty much confirmed that it won't be one voice actor per gender/race combination.

Hopefully they'll have at least a young and an old voice for each race/gender.

Yes, I think he can vary he's voice very well, so not every Dunmer would sound the same.

Haskill sounded like the Imperials from Morrowind to me.

I'm more concerned with the variety of voices rather than what a voice sounds like.

I'd just have a laugh seeing how many times in one sentence the Dunmer refugees could pack in the words 'scum', 'sw'it' and 'watching you'. :P

Yes he should voice them, but not all of them should be the same.

Thing is, good luck trying to find a decent selection of VAs who can pull off the incredibly raspy Dunmer voice. Bethesda should probably look into figuring out how to transfigure the voice to sound like that using postprocessing effects, rather than finding a VA with the ability to do it. Even if the VA is capable of it, it must be extremely hard to juggle both the raspiness and adding tone and inflection into the voice - not to mention significantly more lines of dialogue would have to be recorded than in Morrowind, since the dialogue is fully voiced. After hearing the Drell voices in Mass Effect 2, I'd think it should be very possible to make such an effect via postprocessing while making it sound natural.

Yes, but he shouldn't make his voice quite as dark and gravelly as in Morrowind, in my opinion. I want it to be dark and gravelly, but in a more natural and non cancerous way.

Which ones were the Drell? Was Thrane ( I'm not even sure if that was the assassins name, sorry...) a Drell?

I'd definitely love to see the return of the gritty Dunmer voices. However, I would like to see at least a 2nd VA for the Dunmer race just for variety, let alone the other races.
