Jeremy Soule.

This has to be, without a doubt, the most amazing game OST I ever had the pleasure of experiencing and listening through it, all the tracks I could find. This man is brilliant, not to mention they seem to tell stories without vocals. Hope, desperation, confidence and Season Unending.

Also it helps with my college homework. Great soothing effect!

Watch the making of the Skyrim theme. So epic. :P That said, the atmospheric music from Oblivion (Atmosphere 6 in particular) is still probably the pinnacle of Elder Scrolls music for me. So relaxing.

Yeah, I love hte music in Skyrim, but I think Oblivion's music edged it for me. Then again Skyrim's is more fitting to a theme, a gritty world theme, where as Oblivion seemed more fancy.

Was it the only OST you ever heard?

Soule is extremely hit and miss. Sometimes he makes fantastic pieces, sometimes he makes music so dull you can feel dust gathering on your teeth. Skyrim sadly got the latter.

He is a very very talented person. When I first got Skyrim out of the chellophane and into the 360, I was thinking I wanted to explore and see everything I could, as soon as I could, I was that excited (kinda like GIMME DRAGONS NOW!! mode). Instead I found myself hanging around Riverwood for the first hour or so just taking in the music and scenery.

I was very blown away with it all. :tes:

Music is perceived differently by everyone, my friend. Just because you didn't enjoy some of his pieces, doesn't mean he can't adore them.

That being said, the Skyrim soundtrack is incredible. I've listened to the entire soundtrack and every song is fantastic (in my opinion).
