Jeremy, you nailed it

Yes he reworked it a little for Oblivion but the music in the video is most purely representative of the music from Morrowind.

Yeah. It was kinda transposed.

NIce, I would have never even noticed how similar the two are, even though I've heard that song a million times.... (probably because I added all MW songs to OB >.<)

Anyways, the music seems absolutely perfect to me, which is why when threads come up about "What will you listen to while you play Skyrim?" I cannot imagine saying anything but 'in-game music only'.

I hope that isn't true. But I was planning on adding all of Oblivion and Morrowind's sound files to the music folder of Skyrim anyways.

I disagree. I still play both Morrowind and Oblivion and would like for that music to remain in their respective worlds so not to lessen the atmosphere of the older games.

It's epic, beautiful, atmospheric, emotional, stunning...

An Elder Scrolls game :)

I'll gladly purchase a Skyrim soundtrack CD if available. :celebration:

I hope they release a soundtrack, otherwise I'm gonna have to name the tracks all by myself again. :lol

It's what I did for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, at least. People seem to like those titles.

Actually, its Morrowind tune on part 3. And its not reworked at all...probably they didnt want to spoil too much music and just used Morrowind music.

Play the two back to back. They're definitely very similar, but there's a difference.

Soule is the best video game composer by a country mile IMO.

So sorry FF fans...

Yes indeed, I don't recall any new info about it right? The latest was Pete in a tweet just saying that they are "exploring" possibilities on how to release the soundtrack...

The soundtrack will be on YouTube before you know it. Why buy a CD?

Yes, I agree. Very well done and thank you. All the hard workers who create this game do so with time and practice. It is something to be proud of. Cant wait to play it and experence all it has to offer. Thanks again.

Nothing beats the Icewind Dale soundtrack. Vampire Bloodlines is the only other that comes close. ;)

Yeah, Soule is fantastic. I rate him as #1 in my favorite game music composer list, just before Martin O'Donnel and Michael Salvatori(the halo soundtrack creators)

I like the soundtrack, although I think nothing will ever beat the MW soundtrack for me when it comes to ES games (we'll see). Like others have pointed out the music where the player approaches the mammoths is from Morrowind. The ES main theme (especially the melancholic MW theme) plays in the same league as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future or similar recognizable soundtracks to me.

Now if the could get rid of the crappy battle music I would love to listen to the soundtrack while exploring the world.
