Jet is so awesome for melee builds

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 7:57 am

I know it's good for every build, but for melee it just kicks ass.

Main reason: the opponent can't block normal attacks.

Here I beat on Swan on survival: (actual fight is near the end at 5 mins or something)

I also find the chest armor mod that reduces staggers helps with melee when you get hit it doesn't reset your swing. I also weir 1 metal arm or leg peace so I can have the dense armor mod for suicide bombers.

its a really use full mod if you are willing to sacrifice auspestose lining for it but you almost never get hit with molintovs while running up to enemies so it is worth it.

Atm I always take shadowed and Ultra-light.

True, tho you could just combine Jet and Psycho.^^

Interesting. Jet was very OP when I used guns, but for melee I found it not so useful because i use a super sledge and its too slow to get in many hits. So I prefer psycho and buffout, and only use jet when a huge enemy is in my face. I see in the video you are combining jet with VATS, which i suppose is useful because of the 90% DR prevents you from getting smashed.

Yeah, tho I normally don't do that, I use Jet to refill my AP and only use 1 Jet.

But this guy was huge and scary, so I spammed it.^^

than it would take away ultra light and would not affect shadowed.

I'd definitely suggest Psychobuff for meleers if you're ok with using Chems. 8 minute duration (24 if you take Chemist, which certainly did) with +25% damage, +3 strength (more damage), and +3 endurance (better chance to make it to melee, which means more damage). Definitely one of the better long term buff options. Apply Fury (+50% Melee Damage, -5 Perception, Short duration) when necessary to really blow things out of the park.

I've had a damage value for a super sledge (powerful legendary trait - so 25% boost there) at over 1000 fully buffed. Could one shot anything short of a extra large (Behemoth, Mirelurk Queen) or the Supermutant Masters with the deeper HP reserves, usually Legendaries. Humans absolutely do not survive a swing.

Yeah combining Psychobuff with Jet seems even better, thx for the tip.^^

My main point was, that Jet destroys blocking for the opponent, which is ideal if you have no AP.

I think you can bring DC gauntlet to 1k damage too, combine that with sneak attack and calmex and you won't find an opponent tough enough to withstand a hit.
