JFK?

Post » Mon May 24, 2010 8:47 am

Ok as you all know im playing as JFK.

But now im wondering what guns would be sutiable for JFK to use. I dont want to go overboard and use a grenade machingun and also what armor would be good also?

Thanks for the answers.

This Machine for its WWII-ness. By that logic, any of the other WWII guns.

Does anyone know if you can loot the trench coat off of the inspector in the Ultra Lux? A nice trench coat and SMG would be very Secret Serviceish.

Yah those suggestions sound cool. I as thinking as dressing Boone up in NCR vet armor that would look kinda appropriate since they do guard Prez kimbal also.

His gun will have to be powerful and concealable and that hunting rifle will have to go.

Go with a suit ace, and as you said, nothing too powerful in the weapon department, I would have to say this machine, it fits the era and JFK the best imo.

As for your guns, I would suggest that you limit yourself to pistols in most situations, maybe an SMG or shotgun in sticky situations. The .44 revolver would be good, or Maria.

Yah that would be good and plus i plan on keeping a switchblade for melee.

I just leveled up though and i kinda stumped on what perk to get...this is what i have to choose from:

Confirmed Bachelor, Intense trainingk Retention, Swift learner, Cannibal, Comprehension, Bloody messs, Gunslinger, Commando, or terrifying presence?

Which one would be most sutiable?

Comprehension, Retention or Intense Training. Swift Learner too maybe, but that's a waste of a perk. I'd go Comprehension myself.

Considering that sitting Presidents get some of the best medical care available in the world, I think anything that would make one more healthy and capable to perform his duties would be considered not only a good thing, but almost madatory. JFK in 2280 not getting implants would be like someone today not getting the polio vaccine. See what I mean.

Chem Resistant

I thought about life giver, but considering his health issues, I think I'd stay away from that one. But that's just me.

You are aware that John Fitzgerald Kennedy was an officer in the US Navy? He was a PT boat Captain, and, as such, learned how to fire all manor of small arms up to and including M1919 .30 Brownings, M2 .50 Brownings and Oerlikon FF 20mm cannon and possibly the M3 37mm anti-tank gun they mounted on the bow the day before the Amagiri clove his boat so famously in two. You would be well justified in giving Mr Kennedy some modest ability with firearms. Not too much now, though, as he was only Navy and not a Marine after all.

PS: I say go for it. Historyically speaking, he even fits the timeline very well. Remember to have him try to bed Vera. That would be his style.
