JFK?

Post » Mon May 24, 2010 8:32 am

I was thinking about making a JFK person in FNV. I would really love to.

But im wondering how i should do it.

Im gonna make his speech high. Get him a nice suit. And keep guns at a very minimal.

But i think the biggest challenge is making his face...

If anyone has ANY suggestions please tell me.

You are aware that John Fitzgerald Kennedy was an officer in the US Navy? He was a PT boat Captain, and, as such, learned how to fire all manor of small arms up to and including M1919 .30 Brownings, M2 .50 Brownings and Oerlikon FF 20mm cannon and possibly the M3 37mm anti-tank gun they mounted on the bow the day before the Amagiri clove his boat so famously in two. You would be well justified in giving Mr Kennedy some modest ability with firearms. Not too much now, though, as he was only Navy and not a Marine after all.

PS: I say go for it. Historyically speaking, he even fits the timeline very well. Remember to have him try to bed Vera. That would be his style.

Yeah sounds great. As for his face you d just have to spend several hrs on that. With my Dahmer Bundy character I have to make a cross between Dahmer and Bundy, but its easier than trying to make 1 face. I ve never got my own face right.

It will look close then I ll turn his head a bit and nooooooooo thats not right. ocd can be your friend on this deal.

Gunny, that is quite some "marine" boasting. Maybe he should have Comfirmed Baecholer because he was in the Navy ;)

I would say make him one of the "clones" which the Enclave preserved in case they cannot agree on one person being President, and escaped during the NCR assault at Navarro.

after all, he was one of our greatest presidents, still has some of the highest approval ratings, up there with Lincoln, Reagan, and Washington.

JFK was cronically sick as a young man, and continued to have health issues his whole life. An endurance of 5 might not represent that well.

As Gunny said, I'd lower Endurance...and I would also lower INT to 6 (he was far from stupid but no genius, the Dems like to portray thier candidates as being intellectual titans whether they are or not) then put the points into topping off CHA and raising his Luck. Between the Nazi spy he bedded (unknowingly) when he was Naval Attache in London, to surviving getting his PT Boat T-Boned by a Japanese destroyer, to not getting Court Martialled for the latter, he was actually a pretty lucky guy....until it ran out. He also must have "Lady Killer", and must try to bed any woman in the game who gives him the appropriate dialog.

I think I gotta agree with the IN lowering. I might suggest lowering IN a hair and raising PER. Politicians, by nature, are usually pretty perceptive folks. I would say JFK was more perceptive than intelligent, but he was by no means a dunce.

Yes i think ill do that. I put the luck down far because of you know what. Im gonna keekp his charisma where its at or raise it up one. I will lower his Intelligence also and put it one Perception.

Thanks for the advice guys.

If you have anymore suggestions tell me.

When i level up im gonna put his Speech up high.

Speech, barter (negotiating), you could make a decent argument for a reasonable science. His default weapon skill would be guns, I don't know what else you could start off the build with to keep it as he was IRL. Probably a fair amount of medicine. I don't know about repair, but I'm sure he had to use some technical skill in the Navy.

Yes it can be quite difficult to see what exactly should be high or low.

It took me around 45min to get his facial features to look closely like him. I got everything right except for the chin i think.

But you could probably tell its him if you looked at it.

Now you gotta get the accent right: "I(ugh) went to Hahvahd. You know(ugh) I drove my(ugh) cah and pahked it(ugh) right there in the yahd. Go(ugh) Redsawks!."

Seriously, the Kennedys are HUGE in Mass. My wife is from there and they all adore them. Even Teddy. She once made me go down to Hyannisport and walk out on a jetty with her just so she could get some pictures of the fence circling the Kennedy compound from the ocean side.
