From a customer service counter telling people that positions are full, but to keep refreshing applications, I would like to buy you guys that drywall.

There was a time when a college degree and 15 years experience would get job security and be a stable platform to raise a family on. Now, I find my experience too limited. With my field in wireless infrastructure drying up, things are looking grim.

Great tips from everyone. Even if you feel secure in your job, make sure you are keeping your hunting skills polished. You never know.

Hell even if you're secure in your job, always look for the next best thing. In the end you're always disposable to the company if you don't fit into their "bottom line."

On a positive note, I just got hired at a coffee shop.

Not a dream job, but staying afloat is the main priority. Strangely, I didn't submit my resume only an app and used the phrase "bust my balls" during the interview.

Ironically, ( and sadly) the last time I worked in a coffee shop was when I was 18. Oh that damn circle of life.
