Ooooooo-kay.

While we're on the subject, can we find Three-dog's speeches anywhere as well?

Find them on youtube or somewhere like that and use www.mediaconverter.org or vixy.com/net, I forget which, to convert them to mp3 and download. ^-^

Don't know but I like the idea. Voice acting for Pres Eden is Malcolm McDowell of Clockwork Orange fame if ya didn't already know.

Yeah, he's one of the best things in an awesome game. The whole Eden/Enclave story line is such a great idea, and the broadcasts are so well done.

I love Liam Neeson's voice as your dad, too.

Let's talk about government, shall we? Or more specifically, your government, dear America. The Enclave. Just who is the Enclave? Why, now that's simple, the Enclave is you, America. The Enclave is your sister, your aunt, your friend, your, your neighbor. And well yes, the Enclave is me as well, heh heh, uh hah. As your president, it is my responsibility to preside over our great democracy. So, as your president, I am the voice, I am the heart, and soul of the Enclave. That is to say, I am the voice, heart, and soul of America. But only together, together, can we hope to reach our full potential. The way we were before the war. Whole. Beautiful. Powerful. One Enclave, One America. Now and Forever. And now, dearest America, we must say farewell. For there is much work to be done, and the Enclave never rests. Never.

Quite inspiring isn't it?

And there's more....

Ahh, yes, the timeless message. A theory that’s been tried over and over again; a theory that’s failed over and over again. Yet even today we’re bombarded with the same pap. “We’re all part of the greater consciousness.” “Be a good citizen of the village”. Individualism be damned!!! Why, if you follow your own path instead of the “greater-good-for-all” path you must be selfish. If it’s not prescribed, it won’t be tolerated! What, what? You’re capable of thinking out of the box, pursuing that which makes yourself happy, and still bettering those around you? Why we can’t have it! Too many others may get “crazy” ideas.

This game has nailed it on so many levels!

I don't find it inspiring at all. I'd elaborate, but I think there's rule against discussing politics and religion on the forums, even though I can't seem to find it. So let's just say that I am against any leader who considers himself to be the heart and soul of the nation and keep it at that.

We can discuss in game politics, just not real world politics.

And since some may have missed it, my "inspiring" remark was sort of sarcasticish - particularly given the in-game story line.

I think President Eden's speeches are very well written by Bethesda and very well delivered by Mr. McDowell -- meaning they very much fit the in-game persona of Pres Eden. Much like I think the Vault Tech advertisemants and tour is very well done. But to be honest, although I like the vault tech advertisemants in game, that doesn't mean I think those types of Vaults would be great in real life. Again:

Of course it was. I thought that was a given.

I was merely elaborating on how this fictional game, was “timely”. Not just timely, but historical in the sense that mankind has the tendency to make the same mistakes over and over (and over…) again.

Which is another reason why this game, goes beyond just being a game. To be sure, there’s many so-called “truisms” that Bethesda has found a way to poke fun at, no matter your world view.

I'm afraid I totally missed out on the sarcasm. I'm blaming it on the surprisingly large number of Enclave fans on the forums. ;)

Since I made Eden shotdown the place (I used charisma, not the other thing), I can't hear his monologues...but in my next game, I'm gona do what he wants.
