[RELz] John's Leveled List Overhaul

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:08 pm

You really ought to check out the use of the userlist feature in the new BOSS - it is the simplest way to add overrides and additions to a load order. In fact amazingly simple. Here is one userlist I use:

Just add mods like this to a simple txt file and keep in BOSS folder. If a mod from it is not installed then it just skips it. Much simpler than Surazal's BOSS manager. It does not update your masterlist but rather reads this list of exceptions at execution and then adds them after reading the masterlist.

I'm still running the old version of BOSS. i use it frequently and i dislike how it uses an html document as its log. my computer i play and mod on is isnt internet connected and i havent changed browsers from IE which is really slow IME.

I'm all about firefox and have about 40 mods on my firefox.

I like the internet and I'm on it enough that it justifies my paying for a fast connection (even though I know it is a rip off).

i just checked in with the BOSS team, they did move it up. seems i was mistaken. disregard my LO suggestions then. anyways if you can i really need that FormID FInder report, it'll tell me everything

Well, how would I accomplish that since i can't get it as long as they are holding the weapon, and when they die they disappear since they are summoned?

An extremely handy mod called http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29127 - load and activate it (doesn't matter where). Then in game come within grabbing/pickpocket distance (with cursor over the character) and click the right shift key. It will then print to the console every mod affecting or adding to the actor (read the download page for details).

Get ConScribe for ability to have printable/savable console reports.

Great stuff, Psymon. I was not yet aware of / familiar with either of these.

I'm having issues with getting FormID finder to work. I just did a clean install of Oblivion too. (well re-install would be more accurate.)

Refscope would be another option if FormID Finder doesn't work!

yup i have. let me ask you something have you merged ionis's mod straight in without changing the leveled lists names or items names? if you havent we have a problem then, but luckily its fixable.

Sorry John, I'm WAY behind on my messages. I know you sent me a PM a day or two ago on this, sorry I haven't responded yet :)
I actually did not do any merging. Instead, I took Ionis' weapon resources, and set up brand new Mithril and Orcish weapons in the CS. Then I added those to the vanilla leveled lists where needed. Other than the meshes, textures, and icons, nothing came from Ionis' mod.
Hope that helps!

Just another mod to be included to this mod, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15943. IMO this mod is in the same league with Vvardenfell Imports, except this mod is from Skyrim.

And thanks for fixing missing mesh.

I already had ConScribe because TNO recommended it when I was reporting an issue with QLM. I have now downloaded Refscope. Refscope is working.

On closer inspection you did include the mithril arrows mesh, but the esm still directs the game to weapons>Mithril>Arrows and not to Johns>Mithril>Arrows.

Just downloaded this and started a new character. Ran through the first level of Vilverin and saw a good mix of the new items. Looking at the prices in my inventory, I was a little afraid I'd come back with a small fortune right off the bat. But after coming back to the IC to actually sell, it seemed pretty reasonable on what I sold everything for. (Note - I am using Enhanced Economy). After using this for 30 minutes, I am definitely enjoying. Great variety on the bandits I've fought so far. I look forward to playing a lot more with this mod active.

Are any of the new armors added by this mod compatible with the HGEC body?

umm i dont think so no. most are made to fit the vanilla bodies. i never check to see if there was body replacer compatible meshes, suppose i should

Hey something new for you guys, I added a dropbox mirror which is now working. This links contains a BAIN ready archive with BSA and all hotfixes included

Yeah, I didn't think so, pretty sure most of the mods you've included have never had alternate body replacer meshes made for them, didn't hurt to ask though. Maybe if I'm lucky this mod will catch the eye of the EVE team and they can make a conversion patch... yeah, I'll keep dreaming.

i found an exnem patch for 5 of the armors, ghogiels ones specifically. i might include those. i wish there was a roberts male and female conversion though, that would be awesome! i'd do it if i had the time, patience and knew how :P

I've been working on this http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1289618720/gallery_640_167_60577.png for some of the night, what do you guys think? i like him personally, i mi9ght include him in the creatures mod instead of that steg
