I just started a pure mage and arrived in Balmora. I'm wanting to join the Mage's Guild and Telvanni later on. My question is, is it possible to be in both Telvanni and the MG or do they not like one another.

I'm pretty sure I have done that before, But Its been a while since I last played morrowind.

Yes, you can join both and do all the quests. There is a late Mages Guild quest that conflicts - but you don't have to do it.

if i play a mage i always join both guilds. and they both do like you the same. there is only one person that actually really asks you about both factions

Not only did I join both, but my character became Arch-Mage of the Guild and Telvanni Archmagister on the same game-day.

I usually do all of my Guild activities first, then I run the M.Q.'s, then I pick a Great House (Where am I going to stash all of my stuphph???)

I'm ArchMage and ArchMagister with my current character.

Yup I became archmage then marched up to house telvanni and was all like "Yo give me a high position because I'm sick with magicks yo" but they didn't care so I just had to climb up the ranks the old fashioned way

nothing stopping you from doing both
