Hi, I′ve been playing Skyrim since it was released ( have about 2000 hours ) and about year i am waiting for update to improve Thalmors in Skyrim. I know most people hate them, just because they are "evil", they dont like anything but their company and stuff like that. Of course i hated them too, but i didnt know what they are and why are they so mad. Most people dont really know what they are part of, i wont type it here, it′s in Thalmor embassy ingame and when i read it, i completly changed my opinion, as i found out they know about everything, control everything and also in history they were living in Skyrim, just like nords do now. Still even that they are this important to everything, there is no way to join them in the game, unless you download the modification, that svcks . I′d like to know your opinion and also i′d love to see an update coming about this race

I don't think the Altmer race is evil, in fact, I rather like them. The ones that belong to the Thalmor faction are another story.

If you are playing on the PC there is a mod, called An Altmer Intrigue, that show another side of them. I really quite enjoyed it.

I find it funny to think though, that the Last Dragonborn, the Hero of Man, would join the faction that wants to wipe Man from creation

The closest thing you can get to siding with the Thalmor in the vanilla game is by helping Ondolemar in Markarth. Apart from that, death to the Thalmor.
