Joining a faction

Post » Mon Jan 11, 2016 2:07 pm

I just did the first quest to help the brotherhood of steel and was asked by Danse to join, which I said I didn't know yet. My question is this, if I join is this the big choice on who to follow for the ending? or just like the minutemen a way to get some quests, but not my final siding with a faction??

Thanks

Go ahead and join. You will get some missions that are relatively easy and give you the chance to explore. That is what I did. If something better comes along there should not be any problem to quit.

No, you're a long way away from having to decide between the factions. You can join the Minutemen, the Brotherhood of Steel, the Railroad, and the Institute without compromising your reputation with any of the other factions. There's a point in the game where you do have to decide where your allegiances lie, but they'll make it explicit that by making a certain decision, _________ faction(s) will cast you out. You literally get a warning notification next to the dialog tree informing you of it, so you'll know.

Go ahead and join the Brotherhood of Steel. Check out the Prydwen. Kill some super mutants and some ghouls. Get your BOS T-60 power armor.

You can join whatever faction you want to join, at some point a notification will pop up into your face, and then you will have to choose, untill then, go ahead and just play.

...And don't forget to jump off the Prydwen in your Power Armor, just for the lulz.

Thanks,

Yeah will go join them and work on some of the quests. I know some are just repeatable ones that go on forever, but that's ok, it helps with the leveling and caps.

Yes, this is essential. I feel like jumping off of the Prydwen or a really tall skyscraqer in power armor should be an official achievement in the game.
