I don't really want to join the legion or the stormcloaks, but I REALLY want to bring punishment and pennance to The Dark Brotherhood, and The Legion might be the only real game path to doing that.

Herma-Mora
(The Woodland Man) Ancient Atmoran demon who, at one time, nearly seduced the Nords into becoming Aldmer. Most Ysgramor myths are about escaping the wiles of old Herma-Mora. Also called the Demon of Knowledge, he is vaguely related to the cult origins of the Morag Tong ('Foresters Guild'), if only by association with his brother/sister, Mephala.

It's a long-shot, but we can hope. :foodndrink:

You must be relentless, if even a single rebel survives it may be our undoing.....

Well I'm pretty sure he wasn't going to use it, he was sleeping...for awhile.

The nice man in the chorrol barracks would give you a uniform
....behind a locked door
....with 2 guards
....and a chest

This fact alone makes me want to join the rebels, practically. Thank you, Bethesda, I may be interested in your guilds after all.

Maybe. Some games *cough* DA2 *cough* let you pick sides, but the end result will always be the same. Hopefully Skyrim will allow dramatic consequences to the sides you take.

This is great news.

Bad news is that Falkreath is gonna look like Jamestown, VA. Being it a Militaristic society.

I think Fortis deserves some credit :/

Lol; don't worry about it. It's a forum, which in turn, is a community. The article is in no way mine. If I wouldn't have found it, someone else would have. I'm just glad there was so much new info.

I'm hoping it will make things more dynamic, though I am not optimistic enough to hope there will be 4 paths of beating the main quest like in New Vegas.

I don't think I'm gonna join all of any faction like I did in Oblivion if that is even possible now. Just ones that really fit with whatever I decide my character is gonna be. I've got no ahead plans on what that is, I have to check out all the stuff for each before I choose.

I'd do it singlehandedly, but I am betting that there is some reason you cannot, either an un-enterable lair, or even if you manage to invade it, unkillable Brotherhood members. All that kinda gump.

Well if there is still doubt about the Legion, can't someone tweet and ask about it? I mean we have confirmation (sorta) might be able to get a true yes or no.

I really hope it's a questline, and not just a single quest. I thought Bethesda had announced all of the guilds in the game?

He announced the MAIN guilds that correlate with the typical fantasy archtypes i.e. Warrior, Mage, Thief. DB is a a minor guild yet they say they put a lot of effort into it. Perhaps the Imperial Legion is the same?

I'll wait for one of my heroic playthroughs to join the Legion. I guess it's good that they're in, though.

You don't have to be an Imperial to join the Imperial Legion?

hmmm, if true, it's a true surprise, I don't know how to feel about it...

Not the news, they're GREAT!, but in a RP sense...I don't know if I'll be able to ignore my anti-Imperial feeling long enough for any of my chars to join the Legion :D (although I had Legion chars both in MW and OB). We'll see... :)

So we can choose to join the Storm Cloaks or the Imperial Legion? How will this affect the main quest? How will our status as Dovakiin affect our positions in either faction. What if we decide to avoid becoming Dovakiin in the beginning, can we still join? Whats a hypotenuse?

What I really hope and I'm aiming for is to be able to betray Esbern as soon as we don't need him to defeat Alduin. Or that you can choose either Esbern (pro-Empire) or the Greybeards (pro-Rebels) in order to teach you how to be a Dragonborn, thus being able to truly do the MQ either as a loyalist or a rebel.
