joint boycott (DLC)

Post » Thu Mar 31, 2011 12:13 am

Hi Gamers.

I know that many of you can play the game. But many of us cant. Its full of bugs and alot of ATI Users have huge Problems. After 3 Weeks still no patch or anything that solve the problems, but they annaunce a new DLC.

I only can say, i will not buy any DLC of this Company. And i hope that many of you will do it the same. The Game isnt finished yet and all they do is try to get money from us again.

Boycott any DLC of SplashDamage till they have learned how to treat the Customers and do their Job.

Oh please, the only gaming boycott to ever really work was L4D2's boycott. They actually met the creators and compromised.

More importantly, the DLC is free, you dunce.

If they're truly sorry they'll post a "Were sorry..." video ala South Park BP :]

On a serious note, the ATI problems are really bad, and having newly released hotfix drivers that are causing more bugs than they are removing them really is a kick in the shins :<

This may be a cliche question..

BUT, are you for real OP?
Are you really trying to get people to boycott any DLC they offer?

You've offered nothing in return. No promise that you will be able to change something if the boycott works.
Are you prepared to meet with the developers and discuss matters, in person or a series of emails?
Are you prepared to represent a minority that dislike everything about the game, even though a good majority that do like the game are getting what they want fixed. (slowly)

Are you just wasting your time?
If you really want something like this to work, please put more effort into it.

I say we should try and get 2 free DLC's. Much better then just hating on them.

They made a seriously flawed game, yes, but they did make something at least fun.
I won't buy any DLC, but I will appreciate the free DLC.

He is just putting in the same effort as Bethesda is showing us in this forums, so i would just call it a draw. Also he doesn`t need to offer you or someone else something, it`s just a way to show publishers and developers what will happen if you "brink" out a game that is beyond good and evil.

ALL DLC for this game should be free. The only thing they should be charging for is an expansion, if it ever gets to that point.

Since release, the game is ridiculously polarising. Some people love it, many, and i mean MANY detest it. I suspect most 'haters' are those who are in fact frustrated from bugs or very poor performance, whilst the people with gameplay issues are in fact in a minority.

That being said, there are far fewer players out there supporting the game than there could/should have been. One thing is certain, if they start releasing map packs that have a cost involved, they will shed players and lose the respect of those that remain, faster than you can say black ops.

If they're S.M.A.R.T, they'll release free content on a regular basis - not unlike TF2, and I wouldnt be surprised if they garner a ton of sales from it, gathering increasing respect as they go.

Releasing paid for DLC for this game any time soon is a deathwish. IF they want to actually turn the ship around, free content - particularly maps, player appearances, bug fixes and balancing is the way to do it.

I quit playing day 2 until the lag was fixed and didnt know if anything was fixed yet. SO despite everyone flaming you for being a dunce i'll say thank you for telling me no patch hasn't been released yet. IDk maybe the DLC will have/come with the patch then we'll all be happy. cross your fingers. Maybe they'll make our teammates work, that'd be awesome.

i should probably explain why i quit. I quit cause i was forcing myself to play and was slowly starting to hate this game, something I wanted to avoid. I wanted to come back to it when everything was peachy, that way my bad memories wouldn't deter me from playing.

Not trying to start a flame war but I might be oh well, the majority is the upset crowd. Few people have had this game work for them [your lucky]

Why would i boycott FREE dlc bcos your PC cant handle the game?

I have it on the 360 and have had very few issues with the game.. The only real issue was the team ai, and thats been improved with that latest patch. So i'll be getting the dlc day one. Even if it wasnt free, i'd still be getting it

They're not gonna patch everything instantly. Also, they're listening so much and cooperating as well. Be nice, give them time.

They're treating us alot better than Games Workshop for sure :celebration: I'm excited for free DLC.

They're also making Steam treat it's customers decently. You know Steam was upset when SD announced the DlC was free.

We live in an age where everybody wants their game now and companies can fix stuff later.

I'm not going to boycott anything for a company doing what consumers expect of them. Maybe I won't buy DLC later when they sell it, but if I'm enjoying the game enough when it comes out maybe I will. I'm going to happily accept the free stuff though.

If this game would have had a flawless start they would charge you.
