Jon Battle Born Ghost?

So I was doing a Volkihar side quest, went to Whiterun and took out Jon Battle Born. After leaving the city and returning a few days later what do I see? There he is standing against that post on the porch of Belethor's store.

Belethor's shop is cursed. Anyone that touches the post outside his shop gets cursed.
