mill broke today. Third time already this year! Bless Zenithar I'm persistent. I'm starting to feel like fixing it again isn't going to cut it, I might have to hire some masons to build me another one.
8th of First Seed
Had an idea while talking to the stoneworkers. Remembered some of the farms I'd seen in High Rock as a youth had a fancy contraption attached to their mills what powered em with wind. Asked the head mason if he'd fix me up what I'd need for one of these things, he agreed. Might just earn a few extra septims this year!
30th of Rain's Hand
Hit a snag with the new mill. Damn mason got his marks wrong, now I can't fit the central post of the Kyne-catcher into the contraption on top of the mill. Gonna have to measure the size of the hole in the stone and figure out a way to make sure the post will fit.
7th of Second Seed
Talked to the crazy hermit from the cave today, and he gave me some inspiration. Went home and took a set of wood clamps I had lying around and started jawing them on stuff with different thicknesses. Took a broom handle, whittled notches into the wood representin' the distance tween the ends of the clamps. Once that broom handle got turned into a fine rulin' stick, I took it out to the post and started shaving it down, checking the thickness with my new tool. It fits now! My faith in old Zenny paid off, we're gonna have flour aplenty!
3rd Mid Year
Clamps pretty useful tool. Measures stuff real good. Measures house. Measures dog. Measures wife's neck, Wife's eye's, wife's spine. Wife's femur. Big mill keep turning. Wife's flour.
