Didn't know you could make Nords look like Asians
That's cool though.

Actually, for all the complaints I have with this game, it sure does look pretty, even the ugly people. I was hoping that since Oblivion was "graphically finished," the could start reintroducing more complex gameplay. Of course, it took 30 minutes to realize that even Morrowind looked better, minus a few animations. Rather have blocky polygons than blobby, formless faces.

Yes, I didn't mean the faces looks bad, it's just ugly. Beautifully ulgy, if I must say :D

They had an hour to play. Nobody found other armor?

There is a bit of variation, like Morgans robe outfit and some other I think.

Variation in clothing, but not armor.

@Destroy The entire world was open and they were allowed to go wherever they wanted and do whatever they wanted minus the MQ.

@hlvr Yea that daytime forest screen is beautiful.

I agree about that. I was hoping Bethesda could show us some new, cool armor. Then again, the characters are so low level, so the level scaling is bound to have crappy items at start.

It would be cool to see Dwarven armor.

All journalists were giving a strong set of items, that's why everyone's wearing the same stuff.

I think Dragonborn1 meant armor like Elven, Glass, Daedric, etc

The character looks great, but I'm much more interested in the background, that forest looks amazing. Reminds me of evil forest from ff9.

Exactly. Half of those screens are just robes/clothing. Most of the other ones are just variations of the same base armor.

This guy doesn't look like a professional soldier, you are forgetting that the many Germanic tribes during the period of Caesar had mostly long hair, a lot also with knobs. And considering this is a Nord and not an Imperial, I find it more likely seeing this guy with at least some hair.

Well, he might not be a "professional soldier" in the sense of belonging to a military, but it looks like he makes his living by hurting things and people...not the kind of guy who worries if shaving his head will make him chilly.

And while barbarians often had long hair, (even the tribes which shaved the nape left the remaining hair rather lengthy) Nords have been mostly "civilized" by the Empire, and while that has begun to fall, they still live in large cities and not clan based tribes, and I'm assuming that traditional hairstyles are still considered unfashionable among the ruling elite (and any who wish to serve them, including rough and tumble mercenaries)

Anyway...not a big deal. Just sayin' a bald head doesn't surprise me at all. The whole nonsense about "losing 80% body heat through your head" started with a failed army experiment where they didn't give soldiers caps along with the rest of their cold weather gear. If they had been given hats but no shoes, we'd be told that you lose 80% of heat through your feet.

Nice forest even if the Nord does look like a balding, bearded Tom Hanks.

Hippi's had long hair too in the 60's and 70's, you consider them uncivilized? ;) Just saying... or maybe they were, haha.

Exactly. Half of those screens are just robes/clothing. Most of the other ones are just variations of the same base armor.

The only one that's a variation of "basic armor" (Iron Armor) is the Orc's with the shoulder plates. And that player upgraded his at a forge. The Bosmer with facepaint, the Nord with a warhammer, and the male Dunmer all have different variations of a completely different armor set. Two of them most likely forged theirs as well. The Redguard's armor is also a completely different set. You can't expect to see armors as rare and as powerful as Dwarven or Elven in a public demo.

No poll? aw but I liked putting in the same answers over and over again, for every new thread.

Also: a little off-topic but has anyone noticed that this http://cdn1.gamepro.com/article_img/gamepro/35709-221824-1.jpg?rand=E74CF1BA-F905-0425-AFB394B697913FC5 looks a hell of a lot like http://collider.com/wp-content/uploads/james-purefoy-ironclad-slice.jpg?

It's not identical. They're both just in front of a log. The Orc screenshot has a waterfall in the background.

I don't know, but I really, really like it :)

Just went though another playthought of Dragon Age II and realized how amazing Sundermount is (those who have played it will know what I refer to). And that forest is even more amazing. I can't wait to explore it :D
