Journals

It's something that I could never do growing up throughout school and work. Something that my doctors brought up as a suggestion on my most recent trip to the hospital but still couldn't get around. And something that I am starting to write in retrospect in various post on a tumble blog. I'm not really sure the best way to go about it or what I should expect but I have a question.

Do you keep a journal? Does anything ever come of it?

I've used one most my life. Teddy Roosevelt did it and he's one of the most manly men in history. When I lost my son to my demon ex wife, I found solice, when I realized my dream job was idiotic I wrote in my journal and it gave me ideas. It's very meditative, I would highly recommend it, for your first journal I say you get a composition binder from your local office store, and a pen any color(mine is a fancy black and gold one from amazon) . Then you plan when you wanna write and stick to it. If you don't want to write do a sentence, something like 'today my thoughts are my own' something I do. It's fun 10/10 would recommend

I have one, or well several that I have filled out, and I always carry it around where I go, you never know when inspiration can strike! It has proven useful, I always found writing to be relaxing, and sometimes it's nice to just write what ever is in your mind, maybe what happened in the day, any ideas you have and so on. :)

I keep a journal/log of the books I read, and what passes for health related journals documenting my various ailments. The latter is not well done, as I tend to ignore my health journals until right before medical appointmenta, then frantically catch them up to date with info that can be only vaguely accurate. My reading journal is spot on, but that's just completion times and dates so no bother to jot down as soon as I finish a book.
