Is anyone tired of tedious, archaic Void-territories? I have observed that this is the case with many; I hear repeated many times that TES is too similar to older, generic series such as D&D. And, I dare say, they are becoming increasingly correct.
It seems that metaphysics have become too abstract, with scarcely an opportunity to manifest itself in-game, and is therefore confined to the dusty pages of a mage's athenaeum.
Should the series begin to embrace the complex lore as a main aspect of the story? If the answer is yes, then my suggestion should bear weight. Imagine for a moment the fresh interest, complexity, and depth such a journey would reveal in TES.
Moreover, the endeavor is quite possible from an established lore perspective, as A Pocket Guide on the Nature of Places Not Here informs us of possible Void pockets amiss the great expanse of Magicka.
In conclusion, I speculate that a possible voyage to the boundless Light would be both intriguing and plausible.
