Im on a Journey but a Random Dragon Slays my Wife when Im go

Post » Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:20 am

Marry a girl who can take care of herself?

Alternatively, give her heavily enchanted clothes/jewelry/armour.

Yeah my girlfriend/wife will get some nice things to wear since I wouldn't want her to die. :(

I imagine cells that you are not in and thus not loaded cannot be subject to this kind of thing, unless there is a specific Radiant Story event trigger that might cause it to happen.

A dragon slays your wife? Eh, that's gotta be your own fault for even granting her permission to leave the kitchen. Now if Bethesda allows an NPC, like a follower, to get involved with her, then we've got a problem.

I doubt Bethesda could create a game as complicated as that, lol. Most likely, anything 100 feet behind and in front will probably be paused.

That would be a SERIOUS downgrade from Oblivion, as that was the point of Radiant AI, and they still have that so that won't happen in Skyrim, just like it didn't in OB.

I must say, that is quite the derogatory term you've found yourself there.

That would be quite amusing seeing my wife dead and the village destroyed by a dragon it would keep you constantly checking to see if she's still alive instead of just becoming a fixed point that you have nothing to worry about

I dont think it is very complicated to do that, surely Bethesda could do it if they wanted to. (In Animal Crossing, the game was never paused and things would happen when you weren't around.)

I would not like my wife being eaten while my Xbox is turned off -.-

-calls buddy- "Yo sup?"
"Not much bro,you gonna play Skyrim?"
"Oh shet, hell yeah dude,I'll hit you back later iight?"
"Alright dude peace."
-turns on Xbox360 and starts up Skyrim and loads savefile-
"HONEY IM HOME!"
-blood everywhere and wife is dead on the floor-
"ALDUIN!!!!!!"

Hey, wouldn't it be interesting if the player could get men and women competing for his or her affection?

A battle to the death for the right to marry the Dragonborn!

Ugh, I'm dreading this whole "relationships" thing. Completely useless addition with the potential of completely ruining the game (see dragon age).

I would totally freak, lusting for revenge on the tyran who did this. I've been thinking about this scenario quite a few times, and it makes me Geek-laugh. I would love it! :celebration:

Marry the dragon. She will bear stronger children.

I like the idea of followers. They were brave little fools in past games, and many times they were stronger than my char, especially in those escort quests. Loss of work to a random dragon adds to the realism. Also adds to the freak-out meter omgIhatethisgame :)

Giving your wife heavry armor to protect her will not work well, unless you want to come back home to this http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/File:DaedricArmor.jpg

I did remember somewhere that you can claim a house if you kill the owner. So you just need to find a heavily guarded castle and stealth kill the owner.
