Jump Button...

Does anyone actually use this, if so for what really? I for one dont see the point in and just find myself constantly holding down the smart button. I know the button is actually jump/lunge what does the lunge do if anything?

You don't have to hold down the S.M.A.R.T. button... Holds down for you. ;)

Jump is pointless unless your in the middle of S.M.A.R.T. and you need to leap. Otherwise, its annoying little movement upwards.

Combo the SMART button with the jump button and you will get faster SMART movements than just using the SMART button on its own. There is no realistic jump shot in this game, and you can't do a jump to prone either, so that is basically it.

i found if you let go of the smart you will continue to run but you wont do any parkour.

The Jump button is realy only useful for manual smart, which is slightly faster than auto smart. i find myself spamming jump when i get to a vault/mantle location, and sliding manually instead of waiting for the auto to kick in.

the SMART Button (LB/L2) doubls as the Sprint Button. If you press it, or let go and keep moving, then you Sprint. If you hold it or combo it with Jump or Crouch, then you do SMART moves.

It is in the game for those moments when you want to do a wall jump with a light body type or when you
find yourself face to face with a climbable object where SMART fails you.

Manual SMART is supposedly a bit faster. I've gotten used to doing everything manually at this point on PC. Whether it really is that much better or not I can't really say, but it's more natural for me than just holding down a button. I like pressing something and then getting and actual response in-game.
