June F3A Nominations

June F3A (Fallout Fan Fiction Awards) Nominations

Here is the outline of the F3A competition here:

Six Nominations Competitions:
-One every second month on the 20th. (Starting this 20th)
-People post their nominations in the thread and the most popular 3 of each is put into a poll on the 25th.
-Five days of voting.
-One RP winner, one story winner, one host winner, one writer/RPer winner etc.

And then at the end of the year (10th December-15th) there is a poll where the six nomination winners are put in a poll and voted for. One winner of each.

The Six Nomination Comps aren't really competitions as much as a way to get the best for the end of the year, and keep people entertained.

So, you have five days to nominate your favorite RP/favorite story/RPer/Host. Only one of each. I'll tally it up and take the most popular three of each, and put them in a new thread with a poll for you to vote in. If there is a tie here, I'll pick one to go through to the voting stage. If your RP/Story/you are nominated to be one of the three options in the voting round, then it can never be nominated again though writers/hosts can.

Please no bias or arguing. It is okay to vote for your own creation, but don't vote for yourself as best RPer or Host, and discussion of the options is allowed. Please bold your votes so I can find them easily!

Ask any questions here too.

P.S The first one of these competitions does not count for nominations and such. It is not part of this over all competition, but was more the start of it. You can still vote for Redemption/Cold Steel and all the others that were in the poll.

For me it'd have to be...

For the best Role Play, I nominate: The Uprising-Both Versions-Number 1 and 2

For the best Story, I nominate: Redemption

My reasons...

The Uprising: Was the best played out RP to date that I've seen, I'd say Cloud Nine will be better, but we'll see.

Redemption: Was/is one of the best written Stories, I enjoyed it a lot and I hope FuzzyDoom keeps writing some more stuff!

I don't do RPs, but I really enjoyed Redemption. But seeing that it was already nominated, I nominate Letters from the Mall by Dracth, I think. I will double check that real quick.

Flat toe, if you prefer Redemption, you should nominate it, to give it a greater chance of making it to the voting stage. Read the OP, and you'll understand how it works.

No I liked Redemption a lot, but Letters from the Mall was better. It just didn't get much attention on the last Vote. Remembering the last vote plenty of people chose Redemption. It will do fine.

Best Role Play: Uprising 1-2
For Best Story: Ben the Butcher
Best RPer: Max
Best RP host: Isitjustme?
--------

Also, how about "Best RP-er" each person puts foreward their best post from the time inbetween the two comps, and then it gets voted on in an actual poll?? that would be nice and perhaps a little trophy thing in your Sig>?

Hmm, I see what your saying, but looking for individual posts could be quite hard. Maybe just a, best RPer overall would be fine? And maybe a best host would be good too...

EDIT: Ok, I'm going to revamp this idea. This thread is going to become the June F3A Nominations soon. Hold on.

wut? So like everyone finds their best post and then posts it here, then the best three are nominated, and then they are put in the voting poll? That could take a while, looking through all of those posts... And I'd have to removed one of the current categories, because Polls can only take four questions..unless we make two threads with a poll each, but I'm not sure if the moderators would allow that...

I think that's a bad idea, just people nominating themselves in general. There aren't that many people on this forum in all honesty. Almost everyone's been in an rp with everyone at some point, so it shouldn't be all that hard to come to a decision on the matter, I would think. Plus, not everyone would want to go through the tedious process of looking through their posts for their best, so I'm sure some people, like myself, who have no intention of going through something like that, would be left out. A basic voting system always works best, I think.

EDIT: Incidentally, I'll put a vote forth come morning, when I'm not here typing in my sleep.

Ok, so you don't vote for one best RPer, AND one best writer, you vote for best RPer, OR best writer.

Or, what would your prefer? Best RPer or Writer and best host, or Best RPer and Best Writer categories?

I get what you mean, but I'll just stick with what I've got... They're pretty much the same thing, if I have to choose one of mine, it's best RP'er. And the best RP'er in my books would have to be DeadlySin, her new RP-Cloud Nine- looks to be very interesting... I'm playing the game it's basing on right now!

/non moderator post

Whilst I am not going to vote in this somewhat limited popularity contest, it would be nice in the next one you decide to have something to encourage the newer members with some award such as "The most improved RP player" and "The most improved Fan Fiction writer".

That way it is going to give other members a chance to be noticed and give them something to aim at.
