Jungle?

What’s up whit the Cyrodiil being transformed from jungle to deciduous forest? I’ve played Arena and from the looks of it Cyrodiil looks like your ordinary forest...

Here it describes Cyrodiil as a jungle:
http://www.imperial-library.info/content/pocket-guide-empire-first-edition-cyrodiil
It's also described like that by NPCs in Morrowind.

Here is how it got changed:

Yeah I know, but I don't get it why are people disapointed by the fact that Oblivion featured forest, when Arena ALSO featured forest instead of jungle...

Because they played Morrowind first and only and they can't look past it.

They can't see the forest for the trees, instead, they just see the forest for the fact that it's not a jungle.

Because Cyrodiil was more interesting and exciting, vibrant and unique as a jungle than it was as a forest. I've never played Arena, but from what I understand at the time of Arena the lore wasn't fleshed out and really developed, so when I read the 1st PGE and read about Cyrodiil and the Imperial City I was excited to see such a strange and unique place, only to have it rectoned by something a dumb (to me) as Chiming it into a forest for a bunch of whiny soldiers.

Personally I'm rather disappointed that people became 3D after Arena. No longer will it be possible to sneak up on some one by simply walking sideways!

The PGE paints a picture of Cyrodiil that is interesting. Something that can be described as Byzantine-Venice-in-the-Jungle. Far more interesting then Arenas Yeah-a-big-D&D-city-here. So when it turns out to be the latter, isn't it obvious people are disapointed?

Because attacking the person is always more fun then listing to what they say!
