It's amusing to play with for a little while, though it's not really a practical weapon in any sense. It's unique though, so I kept it just to have it.

There are two in game. One can be obtained from certain random encounter and another one picked at certain location.

The Junk Jet is found either in Arcjet Systems, or dropped by Manta Man in a random encounter. I have no idea if this encounter is repeatable, but the wiki says nothing about it repeating more than once, so you may only be able to get 2 Junk Jets on a single character.

As for what it does, it fires junk at your enemies. When you first pull it out, it is empty. Hitting the Reload button brings up a container interface, and you can load junk items into it. Once you've loaded the items into it, exit the interface, and the gun will now fire random the junk items you loaded into it at enemies. The items inflict damage when they hit, so as a loading screen implies, you can literally kill someone with a Teddy Bear if you so wish. Or pens. Or Pre-War Money. Once you've fired your junk at the enemy, it can usually be collected (sometimes an item becomes non-interactable), loaded back into the Junk Jet, and fired at another enemy.

Overall, the damage isn't spectacular, so I wouldn't call this a must-have weapon. However, it can create some amusing moments, so if that's the sort of think you like to do, go for it.

Not my type of "amusing moment" weapon to warrant carrying the damn thing around!! But I do see what you are saying and there was no offence in that << comment, thank you all for the responses and I sold the first one I had for the caps at the time..... and though I have got the 2nd and obviously last one, I am still going to sell it.

Why keep something of no use in a game right??

For the person who needs one of everything, or likes to collect all the special items. The completionaist.

I never use mine either. Junk in this game is too valuable from crafting and settlement building to waste firing at enemies. I have never been so excited to find an old tin can in a game before. Thats two steel right there and lightweight! \o/

Worthless, but I keep it like the Syringer because it's unique. Took me God knows how many abraxos to kill a normal Mirelurk. Even a pipe pistol would've been more efficatious.

I'd like to know though if heavier junk does more damage, or is it solely based on the JJ's numbers. I imagine a bowling ball would be more lethal than a pack of cigs.

I dropped it into my Legendary Collection box to keep it separated from other normal / common weapons.

I think they named the weapon incorrectly. It should be called Valuable Launcher or Money down the Drain .

Junk is the most valuable commodity in the commonwealth and sadly I think only the Soul Survivor understands this, except maybe for Trash Can Carla. I guess the citizens in the Commonwealth think it must have been real bad before the war if the Soul Survivor is willing to give 2 Fatmans, 3 Laser Rifles just for all the junk the vendor has.

Maybe my next character will not be building settlements and will be only using the Junk Jet.

Overall, it's mostly a novelty item. Good for some laughs, but not really something suitable as a main weapon.

I sell all the Unique weapons I find, if I am not going to use them...but the Junk Jet was not even worth picking up.

I've heard the heavier junk causes more damage.

The only time I'll be using it, is when I kill Malcolm in the DC Upper Stands. I'll be loading it with pre-war money. An ironically fitting death :D

How can you not like a weapon that fires flaming teddy bears of DOOM?

I think the "junk" in the name is appropriate. I was going to use it on my big guns character but it wasn't good enough for regular field deployment. Unless you are a collector I think selling it is the best idea. That thing needs a serious buff.

It should be perfect for a weapon. After all a lot of people say the game is too easy. :P

Yeah Junk is way to valuable to waste firing it at enemies.....so it went straight into storage.
