So i just beat crysis 2..... and it was AWSOME!!!!*spoilers*

Post » Sun May 22, 2011 11:43 pm

So after i beat the game, at the end prophet is talking to alcatraz and how the ceph are everywhere(knewwww it); But any ways prophets memory's get assimilated into alcatraz and then after a couple of days or so alcatraz gets up and and says "they call me prophet". Is alcatraz and prophet now one with each other or something kinda like master chief and cortana or is prophet going to be the main character for crysis 3, OR is alcatraz going to call himself prophet. Anyways i hope alcatraz is in the third one along with prophet but yeah cant wait for crysis 3!!!!!!!!!

I think "Prophet" is the suits name.

I didn't double check it but it sounded like at the end when he says "they call me prophet" it sounded quite different to the prophet heard at the start of the game.

WoW, you guyz dont get it? the suits are symbiotic, meaning they literally bond with its host, prophet says, the suit bonded with him, meaning prophet is actually part of the suit, and fully integrated, that "raspy suit voice is prophet" "hint," when the suit says"wake up marine" and a face appears, thats prophets facial structure, so Alcatraz i guess is brain dead, they said he was a walking corps, either way, the suit is prophet, and Alcatraz is being taken for a ride. Thats why Crynet are looking for the suit in the first place, Hargreaves wants that specific suit, the suit bonded with alien tissue, and thats why prophet was infected, he began the disease by absorbing alien DNA, and by airborne infection, hint, "obtain alien DNA sample", you see the spiral crap followed by the suit saying "Nanocatalyst acquired"

Prophet call Alcatraz as marine and he always use word "we". Prophet shouldn't talk to Alcatraz, If Alcatraz is just a hollow body.
I think he will become Cortana and Alcatraz is master chief.

Yeah, not having a cool boss to fight at the end was a let-down.

Explain that to me, please. I know that the suits are symbiotic. The real prophet killed himself but the suit contains his DNA, his mind and his memories, right? So the suit is a "2nd prophet", who's exactly like prophet but it is not him. Right? I think that Alcatraz is not brain dead, they only said that he was a walking corps, because he would've been dead if he didn't wear the suit. Also, prophet said at the end, that he had to cut the link because of alien infection or something, so that explains why prophet v2 (the suit >:3) didn't get to contact Alcatraz. That means, that Alcatraz did everything by himself (with the help of the nanosuit's power ofc), do you agree?

I think that..

the suit is Prophet, but the suit needed a body to work?

So Alcatraz is a dead body inside the suit.. That's why he doesn't speak?

But.. The suit say'd "wake up marine" so.. wtf lol.

@NUGG4TZ: No, the suit isn't prophet, the suit just knows his DNA, memories and his mind. The suit became a "part" of prophet but it is not prophet himself, it's like a bodypart of him able to think and such. But it can't live without a host, and that's Alcatraz. Why does anybody think that Alcatraz has to be dead if the suit is/was a part of Prophet? Alcatraz uses the suit and Prophet "is" in one way the suit, and the suit performs symbiosis, so Alcatraz and Prophet are merging. They both think as one and do as one. That's what I think.

It's never that simple. Did you play the campaign?
We know, that the suit performs symbiosis;
We know, that the suit grew into Alcatraz wounds;
We know, that Prophet talked to Alcatraz in the end;
We know, that Alcatraz never talked but in the end "he" said, his name was Prophet (with Prophet's voice)

Forget that. What happend to NoMad and Psycho. Because PS3 and Xbox gamers haven't played Crysis, Crytek f*cked with the story. They didn't fill us in on what happened the 3 years between the games, nothing about the original cast. The only things that connect the games are: The Nanosuit, Prophet and Tara Strickland ( her dad was in the first game ). This is my favourite game, so don't get me wrong, but... What the hell Crytek? Just don't tell me that NoMad and Psycho are dead, because if they are, then what the hell was the point of Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

If Al's dead, then the suit has 0 goddamn reasons to tell him to svck it up and keep fighting.

well the pinger fights were enough of boss fights for me, but I was expecting fighting something big, or maybe 2 pingers at once but still a decent ending nonetheless.

Uh cause prophet's living body was the link......? not his mind...... he then argues with Hargreaves that he new the suits were symbiotic the hole time, meaning they actually fuse with the host, so prophet killed his body, but his neurons were engraved into the suit, in terms, saved his memory, so not his DNA, but his mind essentially, i dont understand how he managed to rip off the suit in the beginning..., so all in all, since the suit is symbiotic, meaning its can access the host and vice versa, prophet can communicate with Alcatraz, and Alcatraz with prophet, including prophet being able to take over, Alcatraz's functions. So by the suit actually saving his synapses, essentially, the suit thinks its prophet......havnt you guys played peace walker or something? This isnt the first time humans are saved onto machines..

Crytek likes to re-use themes.

Far Cry
Jack Carver, described as a "beach bum with special forces training", his boat is demolished. He somehow swims to shore and is unwillingly recruited to kick mercenary and monster butts which he does without question.
Val Constantine - undercover CIA babe who talks tough but never does anything.
Kreiger - head of a large research organization dealing with monsters (trigen) in secret. Wants to merge his body with the monsters DNA.
Crow - thug-in-chief gets shot down in a tough battle midway through the game as he taunts you from relative safety.
Doyle - a scientist on the inside who guides you through the game.

Crysis 2
Alcatraz, drunk the night before, this special forces guy's sub is demolished. He somehow swims to shore and is unwillingly recruited to kick mercenary and monster butts which he does without question.
Tara Strickland - undercover CIA babe who talks tough but never does anything.
Hargreave - head of a large research organization dealing with monsters (Ceph) in secret. Wants to merge his body with a nanosuit using alien DNA.
Commander Lockhart - thug-in-chief gets killed in a battle midway through the game as he taunts you from relative safety.
Gould - a scientist on the inside who guides you through the game.

I guess if it worked once...

I liked the fact that there was no insanely big boss at the end, the whole get to the edge and jump was cool enough for me, i thought of the fight up to the final part as the boss fight with the hunters and all the aliens up to it being the boss fight.

As for the suit thing taking over Alcatraz to be honest i think he is nearly a walking corpse with all the damage and fall damage we susstain through out the campaign, i had to defibrilate quite a bit during campaign and getting shot that much, every time the suit closes the wounds with nano weave from the look of things so we are a deadman walking like they say in the campaign we would be dead with out the suit and the suit would also be useless with out us in it.

As for Prophet taking over the body of Alcatraz why not, DNA and memory seem to be linked in the suit how else could we get flashbacks from Prophet, so why not also make his the dominant part of the suits core functions, Prophet has afterall used the suit for 3 years compared to Alcatraz short period of time.

The idea of Prophet and Alcatraz in the suit seems very cool, i hope crytek go in that direction, seems the most interesting :)

The invisible Ceph before going into the spire thing at the end seemed more like a boss fight to me, they could have been harder.
