Just beat Crysis 2 with DX11 on Post-Human

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:15 am

I didn't get to really enjoy it much. I was going to explore all the maps and take my time but in some levels, the enemies respawn over and over again. It gets annoying...

I decided I'd do a 2nd run using the easiest difficulty just so I can explore HAHA.

I will say though that the firefights were freaking amazing with all the new effects.

Edit : I forgot to mention that the motion blur makes me feel like an action hero HAHA. DX11 motion blur really makes the experience that much better.

In one of the final levels (I forgot the name), you're defending the VTOLS and Ceph Walker comes in with 2-3 soldiers. Those kept respawning over and over for example until I defeated the walker.

O well, maybe it's just me then.

Yeah that's the level, you're trying to set up the missile launchers, around about then it happens, you're helping the soldiers fight the aliens.

@SLI, YEP that's one of the levels.

BTW, SLI,

What's your specs and your FPS when running HRT and DX11 at max?

I'm just curious.
I'm between 25-100 (depending on indoor or outdoor) with a Phenom X6 @4GHz, Crossfire 6970's and 8GB RAM with Windows 7 x64.

Ohh yeah I remember that. Yeah that's the only part.

But I just ignored the n00b AI and focused on raping the Pinger. And the when the pinger died the n00b AI died.

Yep.

The AI is still kinda stupid HAHA. But the damage output of Post-Human make it slightly more challenging.

i5 760 OC to the max
8gb gaming ram 1800

Well after two days of tweaks i'm about 45 -55FPS, when i shoot into water and splash about i can dip to the thirties, in this thread is my game.cfg plus my gpu OC >>

I've ended disabling the motion blur. I'm playing again the SP campaign, I hope I find more interesting changes on future levels, I've just passed the "Guardians of the Gate" level (whatever name it has in English, the one you have to explode two bombs next to the church) and that's the first time I have noticed more things. If the curve of news improves I'll be satisfied.
