Bloody Mess = Toy
All those VATS-related perks = Toy
Silent Running = Toy
Small Frame = kinda hardcoe
Only 2 of the 4 unarmed attacks = depends on if you did that on purpose or accident; all 4 is hardcoe, but so is purposefully skipping some
Charisma Implant = hardcoe
Light Touch = only hardcoe because it implies you wear light armor, the perk itself is noobsauce

If it's not obvious, I'm judging them based on:
- if it helps VATS only, it's not hardcoe; if you're hardcoe, you don't use VATS
- if it makes you better at killing, it's not hardcoe; if you're hardcoe, you don't rely on crits, and you could kill anything with the weakest weapons
- if it's arguably useless, it's hardcoe to take it over something useful
- completionism (like getting all 4 unarmed attacks) is hardcoe
- denying yourself your favorite perks is hardcoe
- oh, and Bloody Mess is lame; 5% damage is negligible, and enemies always blowing apart is stupid (I suppose it's hardcoe if you took it ironically)

Also, you didn't really need to list the challenge perks. If you're hardcoe, it's assumed you have them all.

Edit - If you take all VATS-only perks, but then never use VATS, THAT'S hardcoe.

No, that's not hardcoe, that's just being not-combat effective. I don't see the point of depriving myself of laser commander to prove that I am not "noob-sauce" as you desccribe.

If you like a character that has crappy equipment and crappy training, then all power to you, but it doesn't make you "hardcoe".

Being "hardcoe" is playing very hard + being a survivalist + adding mods that put a ton more enemies in the wasteland.

Being successful when the odds are against you (and stacking the odds against youself) is the epitome of hardcoe.

It svcks that I'm the one to break it to you, but you're clearly not hardcoe. That's ok, I'm not hardcoe at New Vegas either. I'm giving an objective break-down of hardcoe-itude for the original poster instead of just comparing his tastes to mine.

I imagine he'd appreciate another judgement of his choices, instead of, you know, critiquing my critque.

Edit - Adding more enemies is hardcoe, turning up the difficulty is hardcoe, ''being a survivalist'' is subjective drivel, but if you pull out stronger weapons or put on heavier armor, that's not hardcoe, that means you wussed out. Prime hardcoe would be naked, no traits, no perks, all body parts crippled, level 1, punching the hardest enemy to death without taking any damage (without exploiting AI or pathing).

Don't care about being hardcoe or not, through different plays I've taken or earned all perks at least once.

There's only four I take every single time:
Cannibal
Ghastly Scavenger
Bloody Mess
Jury Rigging

The first three I take simpy because they're fun, the last is just too damn handy to not get it

Your totally right. If I land my verti-bird, jump out guns blazing with a mini-gun and power armor, I'm a wuss.

Wow man, I feel less like a man.

Heh. Diff'rent strokes. I define all of those kinds of choices as 'stupid', not hardcoe. Just giving a different viewpoint on it. Unless pure maschism is your calling life, in which case,

You should man, I stormed straight into a Legion camp one time wearing nothing but a bullet proof vest, armed with only a combat knife, two inhalers of jet, and a bottle of whiskey. I was the only one that walked out of the fight alive, now THAT'S what you call hardcoe my friend.

Cannibal

*raises a limb* here's to not being wasteful in the wastes.

Good to meat another Cannibal there seems to be fewer and fewer of us by the day...

Its the only perk I always take. Not sure I could play without it.

Only thing that irks me is those White Glove folk. Some of them have marvelous judgment, if not particularly good taste.

'hardcoe' is establishing an identity for your character and not deviating from it throughout the game, even if it means missing out on content and not being able to do things 'efficiently'. Like my mercenary runs around in the best armor with the biggest weapon he can find and is good at haggling prices from his clients. He will not do favors or tasks without the promise of payment up front. I think he will be siding with House since that is the only faction that offers you wealth (can't remember if the Legion do, but I doubt it). Greed is his motivation and I make sure that everything he does is self-centered without being evil because pissing everyone off just makes the job harder than necessary.

Fixed it for you.

I've actually done that sir and let me tell you that with the right perks it's actually disappointingly un-challenging.

If you do fine and like your build I, you think it's good? Then why let anyone on the internet tell you different?

No he doesn't respawn, but the legendary Deathclaw is the toughest creature in the game and can kill a level 40 courier with just a few swipes
To take him on without armor or weapons is pure madness, so I have a little hard time believing you managed that unless you had like a 1000 stimpacks

Then I have no way to prove it. I definitely used a lot of chems. The most I could do is record myself killing another Deathclaw in this manner, a mother or alpha or something if I haven't killed all of them already.
