so i just bought morrowind for the pc

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 1:33 am

i have
- OS: windows 7 home premium 64 bit
- CPU: AMD Anthion II X2 220 dual-core processor
- RAM: 2GB DDR3 Memory
- HDD: 500GB Hard drive
- video: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics card

so i guessing that all this is good for Morrowind right? But my question is what would you say the best mod is that i could get and i'm talking about stuff like MGE or any thing that makes the graphics way better. would i need a new graphics card that is higher than 6150 or is that perfect? also is this good enought to get the Tamriel rebuilt maps 1 and 2 and 3 when it comes out or any other large scale mod like that.

thanks in advance for every one who answeres me. cause i would really like to know so i can start writing down all the mods that i want for morrowind before it gets here. because i want to be able to get them all the day i get it which will be some were betwwen i think it said 4 -14 bussnis days.

I would highly recommend the MGSO modification, as it has a lengthy but mostly automated install, great graphical improvements, and a lot of customization which is important for your computer's specs.

You can find information about it here. http://morrowindoverhaul.rpgitalia.net/

If you're looking for gameplay improvements look elsewhere, but for me personally all I really need are graphical improvements and bug fixes/patches to get by.

I second this mod, its the one im using and its very easy to set up. With this I cant believe the game is 10 years old and looks beatiful and insanely easy to install. Its one of those mods were u can really tell alot of work amd love went into it. Definetly try it out..prob the only mod ull ever need.

When you installed the mod it should have asked you what kind of install you wanted to in order to give yourself the best FPS.

If you look in your Morrowind folder there should be two applications, one called MGSO Options and the other called MGEgui. You can play around with the two menus that these bring up to try to tap down some of the graphics. In particular, the water effects or view distance.

now everthing works just fine and i can actually mess around with the MGEgui and the other options thing
