First off i have this game and all 5 dlc on my xbox 360, somthing like 100hrs of game time into my character. Now i am getting a strange sense of deja vu here. I did the samething with Oblivion, played the crap outta it on the 360 then picked it up on the pc and ran a bunch of mods. Because of that im going to list off some of the mods i can remember and what they did. Might help with some of the suggestions.

Frans - It was a leveled items and creatures mod, along with other changes to the leveling system. This was an overhaul mod.
MMM - Marts Monster Mod, added all sorts of new critters to the game.
TOTO - This was a texture overhaul, enhanced the graphics alot.
Weapon
Armor
Weather
Housing

Now them last 4 i dont remember the names, but they added all sorts of new ones to the game. These are the types of things i liked when i played oblivion, i want to get a similar experience with this. Now please feel free to recomend any mods even if they aint like the ones i listed, im open to all sorts that will enhance my game playing experience.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2761 is really something http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7b0mjp1wRA first. It is an overhaul on the order of FCOM for Oblivion, although not an anolog of it.
Other overhauls (these work alongside FWE):
  • MMM - Mart's Monster Mod
  • WMK - Weapon Mod Kits
  • FOIP - the glue that makes them work together
Other mods to check out (just do a search for the titles on Nexus):
Quests:
  • Anything by http://www.fallout3nexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=137055
  • DC Interiors
  • Cube Experimental

Weather, etc.:
  • Fellout
  • Project Beauty
  • DarnifiedUIF3

That'll get you started.

I like FWE and its associated mods...here's a link to http://www.gamesas.com/?showtopic=1056342&hl= suggestion list, it's quite comprehensive.

I like this one that adds 100 new 40s era songs to GNR radio. It's called http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1418

Great suggestions guys. Is there a big difference in FWE and Fook2? I seen the fook made reference to alot in the other mods, its another overhaul mod like FWE? The other types of mods i forgot to mention where interface mods. Maybe something that gives me different colors for things like my health and ammo counter. Things that even redo or chang how the interface/pip boy are displayed. Also something for the pipboy map would be cool.

When you ask for a mod list (which you basically have done), the usual result is that what you get is the replier's preference.

There are quite a few mods which which rework the game quite a bit. Some are big and well-known like FWE FOOK MMM. There are also smaller ones which do not necessarily offer a crappy game just because they are smaller. Heck, I even helped make one, and it's on my download page, and in fact FWE incorporated it (Foes Reworked NG). These things are not rare.

It is IMO far better to browse the threads and read about the various mods yourself, and decide what you'd like to try, than to ask in a thread for people to tell you what to use.

Isn't this already a vanilla menu option?

There's a LOT of clothing mods which are just AWESOME :)

Like said before, get FWE!
Oh, and Fose is a must have as well

Also, look to get Mothership Crew, as when you finish Mothership Zeta, it actually puts the ship to use.
The RR Companion Vault is another good mod, no real story there, but you're basically in charge of Vault 001.
My Mansion (A new mod) is also really good, as it puts you in charge of a massive mansion full of ladies :P )

Wasteland Streetlights and Streetlights are 2 good mods to get, as they brighten up the night (especially if you have mods that make night time darker :) )

DarNifiedUIF3....well how can anyone play Fallout without it

Oasis Safe Water...Takes away the rads in the water at Oasis

Fellout...makes the game look a lot better visually

And just basically browse the Nexus looking for what mods you think would suit you :)

All im asking for is recomendations. I will make the choice on what mods to use in the end. I don't get as much play time as i would like, family and work take up 90% of time. So i would love to spend a couple days just browsing the forums searching for mods. But with my schedual it would take me weeks to just look through forums to find all these things on my own not to mention trying them out. So im looking for some people on the forums who have tried out lots of the mods and have an opinion about them. Its nice to have a base set of recommended mods in the areas that im looking to improve my game. Its going to take enough time trying to find, download, install, and make sure they work.

Yes, but the color options are quite limited. Get Darnified UI, among other things you can set the HUD to be any color you want (by changing the RGB values in DUIF3Settings.xml file). I use purple (138,43,224).

I seen a picture in some thread where the hud color was orange, dont think thats a standard color, but the part that stuck out was, there was a karam display along with 5 or 6 other things that were being displayed onscreen.
