Hey, you dumped her, not the other way around. I can't feel any sympathy for you, it's your own fault, you can't come in here complaining that you dumped your girlfriend. That's like going to a restaurant, ordering a chicken sandwich, and then complaining that you got a chicken sandwich.

(I'm really hungry right now).

It must just be in my experience then. Because I honestly can't think of a couple I know where, after they broke up, the girl didn't find someone else first. Friends, family, coworkers etc. I dunno, maybe just blind luck.

Most of the first ones that came to mind for me it was the guy who was first to move on, but I'm fairly sure that's just because they happened to be the ones doing the dumping...

And OP: look before you leap... I'd have thought you would've done that in the first place after six years

Holy [censored] I was wrong. I'm still madly in love with her....I need to fix this.

This is the first time I've cried in over 14 years. I thought my tear ducts were broken.

I'm going to get her back! Wish me luck! All or nothing! OHHHRAAAHHHHH!!!

I'm starting to wonder if this may not be 100% genuine. ;)

Yep, if they do get back, well it will never be as strong, always have this to remember. Of how he felt, then it may make her or him think just how strong the ralationship is, goodluck anyway.

Ooookaaay. So you're with her for 6 years, you then decide to break up, and 1 hour after posting that here you are already regretting it? :shifty:

Human is a good meal

Little salty though but over all still good :liplick:

As far as the OP

You need to man up and be sure what you're doing. None of this "I think I love her...no wait I don't....no wait I do..."

If you don't you might as well just break up with her because it'll just mess with her so you might as well just cut it off clean

Oh come on. Cut the guy some slack. It's often pretty bad being dumped, but it's usually not easy being the one ending the relationship either... I feel bad for the guy now =/

Don't! It's too late! She's already at her girlfriend's house wearing sweat pants and eating chocolate. And also possibly watching Chocolat.

Not quite hungry enough for cannibalism, though I would have been if not for that cookie.

Another life saved by emoticons.

On Topic: Honestly, I don't think you're girlfriend should take you back. You broke up with her after 6 years and you said she was crushed, that's hard to forgive. Even if she does take you back, there would always be a worry in her mind that one day you might just up and leave again.

She was downstairs making new living arrangements. I broke up with her waaaaaay before I posted this. I went down there and yelled at her, she yelled at me. I realized it's true that you really don't know what you have until it's gone...or walking out of the door.

I assure all of you non-believers that this was true, and I was very confused. I realize now that she's the best, and worst, thing to ever come into my life. Although she can drive me nuts sometimes, most of the time she's an amazing woman that I don't want to live without. I still want to party, and I will but I will be going to bed with the same girl (or girls) every night.

Thank you all for your help. I would have lost her if you weren't so harsh on me. You're true strangers. Thank you.
