I mean, the gimps need 3 weeks to fix a [censored] soundbug. You CANT play a shooter without sound - its like driving blind.

Checked the game yesterday the last time. Deinstalled this piece of [censored] also, and will not buy a game from Bethesda onemore.

Well, it is bad that there are sound issues but seeing as how there are more issues out there, and more pressing ones, its safe to say they didn't spend the whole 3 weeks fixing that issue, I was also under the impression that they had found a fix for it, are you sure you have the latest patch.

oh you smartasses... so patch solved the sound probs, nothing more, nothing less! Still gettin crashes to deskop and error code "8". And I'm not alone, several sites offer fixes (which didnt work out for me, what a shame...) but the devs aint able to pull out a hotfix? Is it really necessary to [censored] up people 1 or 2 more weeks, release another useless patch and keep on waiting?

All this wouldnt be a problem if I could SELL this game. But i cant because the key is bound to my acc. Its just moneymaking [censored], releasing a late-beta game, "lolz here u got patch stop crying" and dont even bother the future...

This is what the patch was for:

As detailed last week, our new update for Brink is now live on Steam. Below is the changelog that breaks everything down:

General:

Fixed sound dropping out when playing networked games
Improved graphical performance, especially when using Ambient Occlusion
Fixed voice packs being reset to default when you delete another character
Removed ability to use certain cheat protected commands in challenges
Fixed memory leak/crash when alt-tabbed out

User Interface:

Full servers are no longer filtered out of the browser
Added support for entering a range of numbers (i.e. 10-12) in server filters
Reduced font size in the server browser
Exiting Head customization returns to the correct menu
Fixed being unable to bind KP_Enter in the UI
Increased font size of in-game text chat
‘Enter’ now closes text chat prompt if empty
Fixed challenge in menu flashing even after completion
Dedicated Servers:

Improved dedicated server CPU performance
Fixed NPC not spawning for escort objectives online on servers using unsupported cvars
