I just dislike the release date... Why a Tuesday

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:25 pm

The one day of the week I have a class at 8 am and it goes to 10 so I can't even be late for class and pick it up and catch a bus after

The earliest I can get it is 3:30pm

I asked about midnight release but where I pre ordered got nothing barely any one preordered it or tomb raider

Here is the reason why 99.99% of games come out on Tuesday

Why Tuesday? Probably since that's the standard date the games industry has released games on for about 2 decades.

Fine by me, I get paid on the day of release so it all comes out Milhouse for me. Wake up, set the download, go have coffee, run to the gym, come back and Fallout till time for work.

Tuesday is just dumb. Games should be on Friday so everyone can play it all weekend.

I arranged my time off based on the release date, so I'm cool with the 10th. The previous six months has been torturous, can't believe we are just days away now.

Tuesday is named for Tyr, the old Norse god of war, and war never changes.

So it's Sega's fault. Good thing they got chased out of the console business :stare:

That's about the same time I'll be getting to play it (finally broke down and bought it). It's not the end of the world if you can't play the game the second it becomes available, the game will still be there regardless of when you get around to it.

Trust me, you won't miss anything by waiting a few more hours, you've already waited seven years for it, a few more certainly won't kill you.

Besides, school is far more important than pleasure, take care of it first, games can wait.

Fallout 4's release is near, all that's left is the crying.

You're not the first to say this and I'll say here what I said in his thread. I am glad it's on Tuesday, less waiting.

Right, they should always release games later so all the moaning children can start to play on the weekend. *eyeroll* This isn't a competition, there is no harm in releasing it in the middle of the week.

War never ending is mostly an issue about rules of engagement, giving artillery observers the option to get nuclear strikes to would decrease the length of the war a lot.

No this is not an nice thing but war is not nice, note how Russia pacified Chechnya and how everybody pacified WW2 Germany and Japan pretty fast. if you kill 10% of the population and show you are willing to ramp this up a lot this kills any opposition, everybody sane turn against the diehard and the war ends.

If you very careful so no feelings are hurt its no reason for the enemy not to carry on, they loose it all if stepping down so they keep fighting knowing you will be gone in a decade.

Yes this is pretty political.

Releasing early in the week also means that bug fixing can take place the rest of the week. Not all studios employ full staff for the weekend and aren't always willing to pay for the devs to be in on a weekend. Plus a lot of devs would prefer not to spend their weekends bug fixing if they've already worked solid all week.

And I'll be singing the Marine Corps Battle Hymn all day while playing too! "From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli..."
