I just don't see how they are going to...

Portray that moment of gaming perfection that Fallout 3 had upon exiting the vault. How can they achieve that with New Vegas?

leaving Goodsprings... *Do you wish to make any changes to your character*

Theirs no opportunity for the same effect.

Some view of the strip at night or something, and a sign saying "New vegas 2 miles".

Yeah, well general discussion is a different forum so it doesn't matter.

I also thought about this. I dunno what there planning, and it probably wont be as good, but hey, you got the rest of the game to look forward to, right? Why focus on just one moment? :fallout:

but if you read that thread you would know exactly what happens, so wouldn't need to discuss it again.

I guess, but its inevitable that they will try... and will probably fail and it could turn into a face palm moment.

Why would I visit the'' Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers'' section when its not even out yet. This is a spoiler free topic so yeah, if you have nothing to contribute....

They are probably not going to match this. However, had they tried something similar there would be even more people complaining that this game is so much like Fallout 3.

That moment was a bit overrated for me in FO3. It was cool but didn't leave me in awe. I think just seeing a sign like you suggested would make my mouth water just as much if not more. I like the suspense and feeling of adventure when you're heading somewhere you can't wait to visit.

ok then, without spoilers:

No, there isn't anything similar. Nor should there be. You aren't fresh out of the vault, you've been living in that desert all your life. All you need is to get going (both as a player and as a character). Everything was new in Fallout 3 - for both the vault-dweller and the player, so needed that "awakening moment". NV doesn't need that. And NV doesn't get that.

Yeah it does matter. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1120821-the-stepping-out-of-the-sewer-moment/. You don't have to read any of the other topics in that forum.
