This looked like a factory of some kind with liquid metal, plumbing/pipes and some sort of steam/gas coming from above. http://i.imgur.com/a0RYD.jpg

I also thought maybe that walker robot/golem thing the Dwemer built or a really big statue.

It could just be clouds though. But it was too surprising to not mention it.

I don't see anything in the clouds except for mountains. If you think you see anything there, I'd assume it's just an illusion created by the way the clouds obscure parts of the mountain.

And the glowing blue eyes of the draugr is likely just the way they look, not nighteye.



Definitely looks like just the shape of the mountain to me.

I don't see no giant in the clouds, but yes! Thank you for pointing out the cool patio-bar!! Good-eye (and I thought I had a great eye for the coolest bars in town!) Patio bars.... and people actually post threads that they're "worried" about aspects of the game! You have just confirmed for me that this will be the best game in history of mankind, like all the other TES games were! Meet ya on the patio for some cold ones...

What's that glowing white dot/mark on the mountain?

It might be snow in the foreground. I believe this image was from one of the clips with the dragon flying at the hero.

The Numidium? Probably not.

I'm guessing it's a statue carved from the mountain. Would be pretty awesome.

Meh, it does appear to be the same color and texture of the mountain. The only thing that gives it a big humanoid shape is the clouds.

In case anyone still can't see what I mean, here is a higher contrast and darker image that MIGHT help.

The last one is clearest. He looks like he's built right out of the mountain.

Giant statues like http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs46/f/2009/205/2/9/The_Argonath_by_Albatroz_zzz.jpg in The Lord of the Rings would be very suitable for Skyrim. Who knows, PeteAtoms may have just discovered one on The Throat of the World.

Do the Draugr remind anyone else of wights from George R.R. Martin's A Song Of Ice and Fire series?

These images people are linking to showing this "giant/statue" aren't even using the much higher quality MP4 available from the Elder Scrolls site. They appear to be captured from web streams like Youtube/GT/GI or the likes.

There is nothing there. It's a shape made out of the fog.

If I really have to I will make an animated GIF or something... but otherwise trust that there is nothing there.

It's actually really easy to spot once you know it's there, since it pops up right when the camera crests the nearby mountain. I'd have never found it though usually because by then I'm rewinding the video to watch it again :woot:

It's not a shadow Sleign. Look at his high contrast image, and the three images I linked. Or watch the trailer again yourself and keep an eye on the dragon, he flies right by it.

Actually, don't even bother with the pictures. Watch the trailer again, keep your eye at the center of the screen when the dragon's catching on fire and the camera starts panning. It's much more obvious when in motion with the snow swirling around. You can actually see the mist in the mountains moving around it.

An animated GIF would take too much work. I found a sufficiently high-quality frame that a still should suffice:

It is not a giant or a statue. There is nothing there. Pareidolia is common with clouds/fog.

And like I already said above, whoever made these images used a really low-quality source. There is a much higher quality MP4 available on the Elder Scrolls website.
