Just a few questions about a side-project of mine...

Right then, straight to the point.

I'm trying to figure out -how- precisely the few prosttutes, 'working girls', or whatever other word you want to use with which to describe them... with which you can 'engage'... actually function. From a dialogue perspective.

I understand that they don't really do anything. I get it.

However, for the purpose of immersion... I'd really like to see if I couldn't make some additional ones... fully functioning... to occupy other areas.

Since I'm a novice, at best, when it comes to actually implementing dialogue... I'd love to have something I could cannibalize as a starting-point.

I'll have more questions as the project goes on regarding NPCs and the like. I don't really need them to be perfect or anything... I just want them to 'fit' in with the surrounding areas, and make the game feel more like a world.

Thanks, in advance, to anyone who

Just a thought, but isnt there a template already for the working girls? In this case, maby create a new template using vGOMprosttute18FG for example. Or if ghouls are not your vice, another template. Just tweak clothing to fit whatever areas you plan on populating. Speaking only in theory though, I normally dont mess with npcs.

Well, that's almost -exactly- what I did... but the problem seems to be that I don't know how their dialogue worked.

It seemed to be that the dialogue was set based on faction, rather than character ID or any such thing as that, so in order to replicate their dialogue (tweaking as necessary the lines in order to keep it in line with where the girls are) I would have to figure out where in the hell the associated faction dialogue was?

-_-;' Oh good lord, hasn't anyone else done some of the legwork for this already?

I really don't wanna go fishing around in there, bugger it all. It could take me hours to find the damn lines I want... much less figure out how to adjust them... then figure out how to make AI actions work and crap. >.<

I'm not usually the NPC guy... this is my first real attempt since MORROWIND...

Colonel, that's exactly why I'm still overall an interiors guy. The one skill I learned from Morrowind that didn't change too much. xD
