Just finally finished the C3 SP campaign.... .WOW !!

I am not exactly sure what some of the reviewers I have seen were smoking when they decided to publish their scores and thaughts on C3 because I had a total absolute blast from start to finish, and oh what an excellent ending too! (Glares at MassEffect3) Some of the reviewers stated that the SP campaign was too short at 4-6 hours, I seriously don't know what game they were playing or what difficulty they had C3 set to, because it took me 10-15 hours to complete the SP campaign, and all the while I was waiting for a sudden anti-climatic end (because of some of these reviews) which never occured! (each night I would say to myself ok time to finish off Crysis 3 and I will still go to bed at Midnight with the end not in sight!)

Whether these guys were pre-disposed to hating C3 because of their hate for C2 I have no idea, but I found the game to be insanely fun, addictive even, right from the Storyline with Physco as a fascinating sidekick, to the insanely beautifully rendered graphics and stunning soundtrack and sound effects! Maybe it is because I take time to stop, look around, and appreciate the game instead of blundering through from point A to B with a Power-gamers lack of intuition? I appreciate everything Crytek have done with this masterpiece, from the plants swaying in beautiful unison, to the way the Story pans out and finishes off one of the best game Trilogy's IMO of all time! I actually sat in stunned wonder as the credits rolled and was filled with a burning ambition of loading up the SP game and playing it again on the hardest difficulty setting which is rare for me from a shooter!

Kudo's Crytek on finishing of this masterpiece of a series in such a stunning way, it is obvious to me the love and attention you guys/gals put into making the final game in this amazing trilogy, may the future of Crysis burn bright with your next game but I will sure miss Prophet!

FYI I played this on Default Difficulty, PC Version in 1920X1080 with everything set to Medium apart from Textures which were set to High. Sound: Realtek Hi Definition on a pair of Sennheiser 220 Pro HD headphones using THX Truestudio. Gaming Laptop: Asus G74SX

Though it took me just over 7 hours on Supersoldier this had such an amazing and compelling story and I applaud all the actors involved. The ending nearly had me in tears.

I gotta say, I really loved the campaign, it totally addressed all the shortcomings of Crysis 2. Not only that but it also gave us detailed back-story on the Ceph, and that was something much needed.

That's what happens when you rush through it just for sake of breaking some record, but if you really stop to enjoy the game and explore every map and collect every piece of intel, you're gonna take much longer that.

I actually did, I used tactics, killed majority of the targets, did every secondary objective, got all intel and nano suit upgrades, and only took about 5-6 hours but no longer then that.

I am like that with all my games, I think it is a travisty if you don't take the time to look around and appreciate all the hard work the world artists have done, you can really see the love they have put into C3 and I can only imagine the late nights they must have endured away from their families and loved ones!

I am glad in C3 that they have decided to go for the overgrown ruined city look, it really grabs your attention and imagination and I love the fact that you can often go off the beaten track and find goodies strategically placed that I am sure many power-gamers wouldn't even notice on their hurry from point A to B! (You reviewers know who you are! ) I love to look at all the little bits of attention to detail alot of gamers wouldn't even notice, like bits of discarded furniture, lounge sweets, fridges etc I have often come across a bed in a ruined home or apartment and wondered if I could just lie down and have a sleep instead of having the stress of having to save the world as prophet !

The C3 world artists have done such a great job of portraying these abandoned areas that you can really feel empathy towards the poor inhabitants so rudely removed from their homes, families and lives! I am also a big one for outdoor environments (RL and in games) so I loved the way the tree's, grass, bushes, and flowers were all so realistically rendered, infact I have died quite a few times in C3 just running through the grass and looking at the plants or flowers!

Its attention to detail which IMO is most important in the end for games.
