OMGROFLAMO I CAN NUK TEH CITEEZ!!!!11!!!1

Just kidding.

That was pretty much the coolest storytelling experiences I've had in gaming. The amazing thing about this to me is that Obsidian pulled this off with only two other characters. Ones that are amazingly well done and interesting as well. I didn't really know why most of my friends kept raving about how cool Ulysses is, and why they kept quoting him. Turns out, I was just late to the party.

I also find it amazing that you can do what you can do at the end of the quest and still play the game afterwards! When I was having my last talk with Ulysses, I was kind of worried about having to re-load and just fast travel outta there. I'm really glad Obsidian did that.

In fact, I'm glad Obsidian didn't make this DLC cost 60$, because I think it's worth it.

Anywho, if you get one DLC for New Vegas, get this one. I didn't even mention the all the neat gadgets you get along the way.

Huh.

I couldn't stand Ulysses. He was monotonous, went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and and on in that monotonous tone, and didn't know how to use first person pronouns.

The whole ED-E thing that's not ED-E but is but somehow got farther along than Real ED-E and picked up transmissions or whatever the hell was the contrived explanation was also did not sit well with me.

And neither did the sudden forced backstory when we could largely define our own character's backstory in all other content.

But mainly Ulysses and his love affair with his voice.

The long-winded-ness didn't irk me. I enjoyed all the long chit-chat with the Think Tank in OWB. But they could speak in whole sentences, didn't catch-22 every single damn thing I did in the game, and also had more than one tone of voice.
