Just found an easter egg to myself!

So i named my character 'Mayor Govington' because i planned to be the mayor governing a ton of settlements. Now at level 74, i get a quest from one of my settlements, clear some super mutants from fraternal post 115. I come across a terminal inside and read the first entry titled 'Speech Memo' and was overjoyed to find that they were overjoyed to "have such a decorated war hero like Mayor Govington giving a speech in Concord"

What i really want to know now is... how come Codsworth don't call me by name? I realize it's coincidental I chose to name my character that, but it's a name already in the game, and Codsworth says over 1000 names including some quite dirty ones so why not this?

It's not coincidental. At the beginning of the game you were getting ready to go to the Veterans Hall, which is Fraternal Post 115 to give that speech.

It's a simple bit of fill-in-the-blank coding. The program simply takes the name that you gave yourself at the beginning of the game and drops it into the text of email you saw at the VFW. LOTS of games do something similar. All of the bounty notices that turn up in Skyrim that mention the Dragonborn by name for example.

BTW, if I recall correctly, the email at VFW 115 is actually bemoaning the fact that the Concord VFW got the Sole Survivor to give a speech at their post, and that VFW 115 should try to get him to give a speech at VFW 115 as well.

since I play as a female SS, I usually see the message in regards to Nate instead. Its a nice touch and sort of paints a picture into you or your spouse's past.

Which makes me wonder, does anybody know of similar messages and whatnot that apply to the female PC? Something involving her law degree perhaps?

Not that I've found, and I've almost always played a female.

Yes, this is coded, however my default character name in TES is Zaria, same name as the alchemist in Falcreach.

However the manual mills in Skyim was one giant personal Easter egg, Look at my signature, it was made before Skyrim.
