It's just a game, right?

My wife has never played an RPG. I got a new PC with a 23” monitor for Christmas and when she saw me playing Oblivion, she was hooked. I made a character just for her. I trained the character up and got her outfitted. Then we went everywhere and did a great many things. She would tell me what to do and I would amaze her with my ability to achieve her goals. She particularly liked the Shivering Isles. We did the Arena, Mage’s and Fighter’s Guilds quests as well as SI and KotN. Finally we started the MQ. When we entered the first gate, she was really excited and terrified. I play “dead is dead” and I was not going to make any excuses. We made it and she always looked forward to the next part of the quest. When we finished the MQ, I saw her slowly take her glasses off and I knew what was coming. She wept for 10 minutes.
Thanks Bethesda!

Touching story!

Glad you were able to show your wife the wonders of Oblivion. When I first played this game it touched my heart so I know how you feel!

That's a nice story, that is.
You'll find a lot of folk on here for whom Oblivion is more than just a game, and I very much count myself amongst them, and I'm proud to admit it too. :)
