review on single player only!!

about my background:
i am a bfbc2 fan, i love teamwork, among my favorite games are mirrors edge, bfbc series, portal1/2 , MGS, splinter cell
English isn't my native language so bare with me.

1.the controls are good as any other good fps, the weight feels more like a bfbc2 game
the SMART feels really smooth to me.
you will grasp the control very fast, even thou i feel there is a very small learning curve to start using smart efficiently.

2.customization..guess you know it all

3.the gameplay is really fun,
the AI is smart at some time and a bit less at other.they do flank, i got surprised more than once
you get good gun fights.
I felt that the opponents are smarter than your own team. i guess this is because your team is acting upon your actions.
In any case they are definitely not dumb, you see them going in room firing and coming back, sometime they protect room in a formation.
At some point they do feel human.
i think people should give credit to devs, they are good for what they are ! don't be so demanding...
they aren't just aimbots! like other famous fps!!

4.Mutiplayer:
since i am on PS i cannot play online but you can still download the day one patch 1.01...don't ask i have no clue how that can be possible.
I am really looking forward to play with people, for me this game is going to stay alive for a while, i am loving the few hours i spent on it.

5.i am also got it for pc, so i can play online while waiting for psn to be back

Can you confirm which archetypes can change skin color? Would be very much appreciated.

@Phayze9 you need to be more specific all can change skintones but for exemple. not all black guys can change to pale skintone

How big was the PS3 update?

i just checked they all have colors you can choose from. from pale do dark..of course respectively to their original color.

i have nothing negative to say for two reason, i didn't play the game enough and second,i think gamers now a day are way to demanding,
especially knowing our consoles ps3 xbox are getting old.

EDIT: i didnt pay attention to the update but it felt small, texture still load at the beginning, personally i cant care less about those details...

how did you already get the game?

i live in dubai and i know this guy who sends me messages as soon as he gets something new..he doesn't care about release date..good for me

If you pre-order from certain retailers, you get the game one day before release. For example, here in the UK that retailer is called Game, so I will get it on Thursday instead of Friday.

There cannot possible be an update. PSN is down so Sony has no way to distribute it. I'd be curious to know what, if anything, was contained in the supposed update.

as i said i was surprised myself...i started the game and it told me new update found, i started it and it did download. i am no teknician so i have no clue, probably it downloaded it straight from brink servers.

or as glyphs said it was probably an update from the cd, i told you i didnt really pay attention

Game updates are run off the devs servers not Sony's so game updates are still available.

Yeah I feel like a lot of people are expecting a LOT out of Brink too, and don't get me wrong, they should, but once they find out something isn't what they expected, they flip out.

Ahh can't wait to play midnight tonight.

What im interested in is that if the PS3 version is stable. So far most of the multiplat FPS games are inferior on PS3, hard freezes, lag, fps drops.
So how's it been so far?

all i can say is that brink is brink, not cod neither bfbc2, it has it s own place, after a couple of hours(my opinion) that its head pops out of the crowd.

as far as i am concerned i didnt have any crash or freeze till now, while kz3 and blackpoop kept on crashing

Do you know if they ship pre-orders overseas early too?

Some retailers do and some don't. For eg. I live in Australia and import most of my games from dvd.co.uk who will generally ship out games about 2 days early meaning I get the game 4 or 5 days after release.

Other retailers will ship on the day if it's an overseas address.
